It took me six months to find my current job. Granted I dont have a degree and seem to be making more then average (based on this report). I had to send out 100s of resumes to get a few dozzen interviews, of which only two resulted in offers. So sure, there are jobs out there. But the amount of effort it took to find one just about rendered me homeless (I had enough money for one more week of food and rent when I got the job).

I tried iChat. It looked about as clear as when I hook as firewire camera up to my PC and use any other chat program. Color me unimpressed. If they lower the price to say 99$ it may start to look like a good idea.

One reason TCO on office computers is so high is that it takes a disproportionate amount of time to deal with the one or two people who swear that the computer maliciously changes their settings whenever they look away from the screen. The sort of people that comlain that their systems been "hacked" becuase they have the caps lock key on and therefor cant enter their password. Whenever I see one of these people waddle over to my office I just KNOW its going to be a long hard day of explaining why and how computers do and dont work.

Importing workers gives the US workers a chance to compete. Exporting jobs means that a US worker CAN NOT GET THAT JOB! There are only twos wasy for me to get a job in India. One is to have an Indian company seek me out and get permission from their gov' for me to work there. The other is for me to get an Indian citizenship. Thats it.
Then tell me where the jobs are becuase I cant find them. I see people with multiple doctorates working at fast food joints. I see money and jobs going out of the economy and not comming back. You claim that every dollar we send to India is used to buy from the US. I call BS on that.

Whats more, its not like any large set of source code is sitting in one place on a server. What was stolen is no doubt a chunk of checked out code from a source code repository. In otherwords, it was whatever that programmer needed, to work on what ever he/she was working on and not the full project. Other then when you do an alpha/beta/release build you dont often see the full source tree for a project.

No, your phone has voice dialing, which records the sound of your voice and then does a digital comaprison in the future. So you can record yourself saying "call mom" and tell the phone to call 555.555.5555 whenever it hears you say that. What I want is to be able to speak a phone number "five five five etc..." and have it dial, no phone has this yet as they lack the CPU power. When we get GHz XScale CPUs in cell phones it'll work.

Except that they dont. You can get a phone without a color screen, games, internet etc. Its just that 90% of hte people dont want them. They cost the same and do less. Cingular, AT&T, Verizun etc all support basic phones and all the phone makers have at least one basic model.

Sorry, I was talking about the "Official Apple(tm) iChat Camera!!!!". The software itself didn't seem much diferent then anything else out there.
