    I assume these are screens that where rejected for minor defects by their intended brand and resold. This happens a lot, even with name brand products such as CISCO network gear.

    USB lacks video & audio out as well as other feature connectors. So its one custom connector, or several standard ones. Apple wants fewer connectors, so a custom one is used. Not a big deal really.

    HTTP is the request method, HTML is the document type. You can use HTTP to request any binary or text file such as video clips etc. HTML can be run locally without being requested through HTTP. So in other words, the two are not related in any way.

    However, HTTP requests include a mime-type header that describes the type of document being requested. Currently all HTML uses the same mime-type of "text/html", but there's no reason a HTML5 "text/html5" mime-type couldn't be agreed on.

    My point was that without knowing what the bill is for, we cant say that 180$ is high. Perhaps there's a lot of pay per view porn on there? My bill is about the same, but includes 20MB internet, phone with unlimited long distance etc.

    Pen Computing was around in the mid 1980s and Microsoft Windows for Pens was released in 1991. Much like 3D movies are not new ( I have a VHS copy of the 1950s classic "Cat Women of the Moon in 3D" around someplace), the iPad is not a new idea even if it is nifty.

    Our infrastructure was built 40 years ago and had a 25 year life expectancy. Every day that things dont simply fall apart is a blessing. Since apparently putting people to work rebuilding and improving things would be socialsim, so I guess there's nothing we can do about it.

    There is a major difference. Unlike a "real" server a cloud server is an image of a system that exists in multiple locations. Its like if you took a server, and put it on a flash drive that you could stick in your pocket and walk out the door with. There is a much higher security risk as a result, since your data does not exist only in a physical location that you can control.
