I agree with you, however that is not what many people want. There are enough people who want to only be able to run software that has been vetted by someone to support Apple, Microsoft and everyone else who chooses to follow this behavior. Just accept that the iOS platform is not for you and move on.
Still, good to know I was right to not bother with the iOS platform. Its fine for some people and I dont dismiss their choice, but I want better developer support in my mobile devices.
Um... they still wander around checking the meters once a month. The smart meters are for tracking usage over the course of the month and monitoring when usage is highest.
They already installed mine back when I was unable to decline for any reason. My concerns are the documented inaccuracies, signal interference with wifi, security (anyone with a bit of electronics know how can read your meter) and general pointlessness (since they still have to read the meters by hand to bill you).

Of course. Peoples personal information always has a market value.
The thing to keep in mind is that what people think of as "Fox News" is not Fox News. The actual news program only runs about two hours a day. The rest is commentary disguised as news. However, if pressed on the subject, Fox will tell you that its not "news" programming.
But we gained no safety, temporary or otherwise. The scanners dont even work. People are reporting going through them with weapon like objects all the time now.
Cant find it off hand now, but there was a PSP (original playstation 1) emulator for the Android phones floating around a while ago. This makes me wonder if it was an internal app leaked from sony. Regardless, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it wont be too long for the official PSP app to make it out into the wild.
4th amendment does not give you the right to fly on a comercial airline.
Its much like searching back packs at the ball game. You have no guarantied rights to be there, so they can make one of the conditions of your attendance being a search.
The reason the tablets we've had since the 90's never really caught on was because they didn't do enough beyond what a notebook did to justify the difference in price.
Right. Which is why they did everything they could to kill off the EVs and started building the H2. Doesn't mean it was a good thing, and frankly they could have charged an arm and a leg for the EV and people would have bought them.
Its like the adds running on TV right now for the GE Watt Station EV charging platforms. We had something very simular to those at major transit hubs to charge the last round of EVs. None of this stuff is new, but it is better and hopefully will "make it" this time.
Sorry, I remember distinctly all the full page ads and campaigning GM did to get the law removed. They hated the EV cars with a passion. The reasons why are unknown, but there are a lot of valid theories. However no one who lived through it can come to any conclusion other then GM did everything they could to get the zero emission laws removed. And as soon as they no longer had to have EV cars, they pulled them, despite people screaming for the chance to buy them.
During the zero emission days in California there where some electric RAV4 vehicles around. But of course, you couldn't buy them, only lease. And as soon as GM got the law repealed they where yanked back and destroyed. One person here in Marin refused to return his however. Still see it around from time to time.
What's "the market"? Markets have been very tightly defined at times. I recall one case where the market was defined by the judge as something like "juice products containing at least 10% apple juice and contained in plastic bottles of a specific size" (think it was Odwala they where after, cant fully recall).
Most of the phones I've ever owned have been unlocked, purchased direct from Nokia. Never had any issues with them "not working" with any carrier I could purchases a SIM card from.

and yet I still seem to have a keyboard. So.... no.
If your installing apps from a suspicious third party store operating out of China odds are that anti-virus software wont do you any good.
Treat them like any other computer.

A computer "crash" can not erase data. So either something else happened, or the data is simply offline.

Saves me the trouble of getting my Jedi robes out of the attic so I can be kicked off the jury in person.
1st amendment to the US Constitution. End of discussion.

But it was GM that pushed to have the zero emission laws over turned, not Toyota.

Solar cells dont work without an external source of power.

How does it taste?
I've owned several power gloves, which when combined with the old sega stereo shutter glasses made for a poor mans virtual reality rig.
I'll post content later. Or not.
