That's the thing I am wondering about.
Did Bill actually agree to this event?
Every news report I have seen is sourced *exclusively* from Ham and his website.
Nye's website and twitter don't mention it. No one has gotten an answer from Nye himself in any of the articles I have seen.
To paraphrase Richard Dawkins "This could be very good for Mr. Hamm's CV, not so much for MR. Nye"
Corn is not a good stock for producing fuel ethanol, that much is true. Not that there is something wrong with the ethanol itself, it is just a rather inefficient way to get there.
Thank you.
I was a bit worried about how far down I had to scroll to find this.
There are many other sources for combustable fuels that don't divert part of the food production infrastructure./pr>
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a lot of pressure to put much effort into developing them. Seems that the pressure is mostly in the direction of "just keep doing what we have been doing".
My son started using Scratch when he was about 10.
He saw someone else using it at school and asked me to install it at home, then he basically taught himself to program simple games in it.
Lately, he has been creating mods for Minetest, again entirely on his own (researching the file format, reading the project Wiki, dissecting other user's Mods, etc)
I have a bunch of Python resources standing by for when he wants to take another step up.
Maybe there are some ases that he hasn't thought of, and he wants to get some other input?
I notice that printing isn't mentioned. Can a tablet print to a network printer? Or to a USB printer, assuming the tablet can do USB host? ?
If your granny is doing any amount of typing, a bluetooth (or USB) keyboard would be amost mandatory, I'd think. I can't stand typing more than a few words at a time on the virtual keyboard.
What features does a mail client need that the existing ones don't already have?
I'd rather have a relatively lean (read fast) client that performs it's core function very well, rather than a monstrosity that does a thousand things in a kinda half-assed way.
For me, a higher priority would be to have these streaming services actually exist in my country.
I think that would do more for these artists to promote their music to a wider audience.
3) there are very few ways/places to spend bit coins.
And, that's really the purpose of a currency, inn't it? To allow people to exchange units of the currency for goods and/or services.
I was certain that the porn industry would be the first "killer app" that would bring 3D printing out of the workshops and into the hands (etc...) of the general public.
There is certainly precedent.
Though, I suppose humans being what we are, that finding new exciting ways to use technology to kill each other isn't much of a surprise.
Meanwhile, I think the proper response should be "show some actual evidence to support your allegation or STFU". Specifically, the kind of evidence that would be required to obtain a legitimate search warrant.
Is that my first, middle or last name?
Or is my favourite comic character's real name?
Or maybe the area of England where one of my ancestors came from?
And, yes Mr anonymous (or are you) I do use this username in other places (other recreational spaces only), but none have my real name attached to them. Nor anything that relates to my family or my profession.
You are valuable data whether you want to be or not.
I am intentionally an inaccurate datapoint.
I know I can't control that a lot of information is being collected without my knowledge or consent. So whenever I do get a choice, I'll provide information that is either inaccurate, ambiguous, or flat out contradictory to what is already known about me.
The more polluted their databases are, the less valuable it is to them, and thus the less influence they have over my life.
At least that's my hypothesis.
I managed to make my cable bill go down recently.
They did an across the board price increase, so I called and dropped a few packages so that I'm now paying less.
And after a few months, I find that I'm not missing the channels that I dropped.
The next price hike, I'll likely do the same thing.
I may not even wait that long. As the content to advertising ratio keeps getting worse, it makes me want to spend even less time in front of the tube.

Please identify exactly what work I am infringing, as my attorney is having difficulty finding similarity between my soundtrack and any performance by artists represented by your organization.
Indeed. There's no agenda to put out crappy media, but the vast consolidation gives them an oligopoly. With only five competetitors, and all of them producing dreck, there's no need to produce anything BUT dreck.
The less competition there is, the less work they have to do to compete.
Which means, the less they have to come up with new ideas. They just default to the same behaviors that all big companies do: playing it safe.
And in entertainment, that means more of the same.
More Jersy Shore clones.
More "housewives of..."
More fake drama applied to "reality" situations.
And more fake outrage and opinion force-feeding trying to pass for journalism.
Bleah
The last time my cable company increased my rates, I dropped to a smaller package (causing a net reduction in the bottom line on my bill). And I still only watch a couple hours a week max.
There's just not that much on that can hold my interest enough to sit thru the commercial break(s)
Assuming the venue is set up to host concerts, there will be more than enough power available in the building, though it will have to be broken out and distributed.
The distro equipment can be rented from the same companies that the concert crews rent from.
Exactly. Multi-hour, daily conference calls about why a project is behind schedule are the leading cause for projects to be behind schedule.
It's the asynchronous nature of e-mail that improves my productivity.
Add in the CYA factor of being able to save, and forward old e-mails, and I can't see why anyone would want to move away from e-mail.
Unless they don't want to be held accountable for what they said months ago, or if they prefer to spend all their time in conference calls about work, as opposed to actually doing work...
Do you see more jobs because of computers, or fewer? Mostly, I see more lower-paying, low-quality McJobs.
That's the same problem that Henry Ford identified.
"If no one pays people do do stuff, who is going to be my customer."
Ford's solution was to pay his employees enough so they could afford to buy his product.
So, given that even the lowest paying jobs are being automated out of existence, who is getting paid enough to buy the stuff that all these "newly profitable" companies are producing with their human-free factories and farms?
Facebook is probably more of an issue that what this guy is doing, because he's aware of how much info he has put out there.
90% of the people who do the same VIA Facebook don't realise how much aggregated info there is about them out there for sale.

And how, exactly, is that helpful if you get robbed while you are not at home?
Like OP already was?
You have, however, improved the armament of the thieves.

It'll probably cycle back to local after a couple of cloud music services go bankrupt, and take a bunch of pre-paid songs/listens/months with them.
Cal
OK, hard to disprove an allegation like that,
That's what they are hoping for.

There's always the option of doing what I do...br> Which is, avoiding Facebook entirely.
They are also opposed to listening to subject matter experts when those experts don't support party ideology.
Ashamed of the current government of my country.
And not only because of this.

And the purpose of all those "improvements"?
To make it easier to spend money.
And to make you and me feel better about spending more money.
The end result is the same. Less money in my pocket. And I'm supposed to be happy about that.
Just like a good little consumer should....
It will enhance the mall's experience of you shopping.
Just like those "customer loyalty" thingies. Do you really thing they are for *your* benefit?
They will use it to improve their ability to get money out of your pocket and into theirs.
Why do I want to help them do that??
