Under MAP, the price is allowed to be anything, as long as it is not advertised (MAP stands for Minimum Advertised Price). MAP appears to be legal, if the penalty is "you can no longer carry our products." If the penalty is "we won't pay you co-op advertising dollars" (see second link), it might be illegal.

The average joe is lucky to get $2 CPM. Which I think is much more reasonable.
Depends on one's niche / topic / category. My monthly stock picks site U.S. Stock Screens is pretty high up there, despite lack of new / fresh content, probably because keywords like investing and finance bring in more cents per click.
Also from the money.cnn.com story you link to, "Gawker Media's average CPM is between $8 and $10". I'd say $2 is a little low, although after the middle men take their cut maybe that's what you see. Is it unreasonable to expect $24? Sure.
Gotta agree with adityamalik and MikeTheYak, technical analysis is different from algorithmic analysis. "Algorithmic investing" might also be known as "mechanical investing" or "stock screening". In its more advanced forms it might use multiple linear regression (MLR), non-linear regression, artifical intelligence (AI), machine learning, neural networks, and/or genetic algorithms. Sure one might choose to focus on the more technical aspects, but if you're throwing modern computing power at the problem why not include stock fundamentals and some keyword/syntax analysis of the company's annual report and recent press releases?
http://www.tagworld.com/ allows uploading/streaming for free. 1GB limit on storage, though. Also you must use their Flash player for streaming.
However using an HTTP sniffer like HTTP Analyzer will reveal that it isn't "real" streaming, you can just straight download the files as long as you're logged into the site. Pretty good deal, for free.
Which surprises me. You'd thing Google could tap the same data sources and come up with finance.google.com or something, completely independed of Yahoo. Also you'd think they'd try to avoid depending on their competition. Or is there a trade going on? Is Yahoo using Google for anything?
Obviously it will be a priority to register hotgaycock.xxx and redirect it to suso.org. Because everyone knows! Suso.org is *the* place to go for some hot gay cock.
If you're gonna go with BASIC, might I suggest VBScript or JavaScript or ActionScript (Flash). Of course, others might suggest Java or SVG. Or, Lisp, SmallTalk, ML, or Ruby. JavaScript and VBScript at least you can develop without having to download any compilers. If you were leaning towards Java, Python is another good choice in that direction.
FWIW, I find that ProtoWall combined with Blocklist Manager is a good combination. ProtoWall installed with 5931 IP entries to filter, and after running BlocklistManager there are 43473 IP entries being blocked.
(Unfortunately ProtoWall only runs on WinXP/2k/2k3, and the install process can be buggy, but once up and running it's great.)
(Also, I don't know how true this is, but one post here claims the current version of PeerGuardian is out-of-date.)
Marketplace on NPR (National Public Radio) covered the Chinese gaming industry and said youngsters are skipping classes, not doing homework, etc, because they're spending all their time playing Counterstrike et al. You can argue that it's vs free speech, but from their point of view it's vs a generation growing up unschooled/uneducated.
In the tradition of Slashdot, I didn't RTFA, however I'm guessing Intel purchased shares of the preferred, non-publicly-traded variety.

Aren't there a huge plethora of sites that allow you to basically collect little applets and RSS feeds for a customized home feed?
e s.php
Probably, yes. When I saw the description I was reminded of PageFlakes, which uses ASP.NET / Atlas:

(NetVibes appears to be using PHP in combination with an AJAX framework.)
Possibly Slashdot-worthy because NetVibes is getting all the traffic, trouncing PageFlakes and ProtoPage:

17 kHz is audible to humans and most animals. I wonder how loud the sound was in order to achieve levitation.
About this loud.
Well the conversion to hovercraft would be done with cars, which are larger than 20mm. I think. I'm pretty sure.

AnandTech has a more comprehensive review of many flash drives, and the OCZ is far from being the fastest.
4 9&p=25
4 9&p=27
The AnandTech review shows that the OCZ is not far from being the fastest.
The OCZ places 2nd or 3rd for reading 256kb or 2mb files.
http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=25
Where it fails is writing, placing 5th or 6th for 256kb or 2mb files.

Still, "far from the fastest" is misleading.

I know Google has their hardware search appliance, but wouldn't people jump at the chance to use/purchase/deploy a Google database? gSQL anyone?
There are mp3s of songs performed live here: http://www.carbonsiliconinc.com/discography/livetr acks.aspx.
However, I couldn't find the mp3s of demo/studio tracks. Those appear to be in windows streaming format (.asx?) only.

Glitch gave Bush extra votes in Ohio.
Franklin County's unofficial results had Bush receiving 4,258 votes to Democrat John Kerry's 260 votes in a precinct in Gahanna.
Records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct.
