As of course does Opera (and has done for some considerable time). Of course, Opera can magnify everything (including images) for those with poor eyesight or for, ahem, closer inspection of thumbnails.

Alternatively, you can specify the minimum size of font you will accept (in pixels) which means you never need to magnify text as anything specified above the size will stay as the author intended, yet small text won't drop below your specified limit.

Yes, I know you need to pay for Opera and not Phoenix/Firebird, but that's fine. No need to start a holy war, just passing on the information :)

Although I take your point about ISPs being only carriers. Surely any with a shred of decency would have no problem in completely blocking access to that site. Yes, this means that suddenly the ISPs get to make judgement calls in terms of censorship (always bad) but if PA can get this passed then it will only be a matter of time before it becomes national. Most people should agree that blocking kiddie pr0n is a good thing, but when does it stop? I have no doubt that in five years, ISPs will be forced to block access to content declared illegal in that state/in the country.

Sadly, we have got so used to our freedom on the Internet that we are loath to lose any of it, even when common sense dictates that any other means of access would be banned.

Even as a die hard Nokia fan I couldn't resist getting one and will seriously consider the P800 next month as my yearly upgrade. 11 months ago it cost me GB£100 as an upgrade and can now be got as a freebie in the UK with a new contract. Reception hasn't been a problem either (the only thing to upset it is multi-story carparks), but I am led to believe the UK has a much better mobile infrastructure than the US.

I'm assuming you are making this comment as an American. While I agree that having a phone set to anything other than vibrate when in a cinema, it is interesting to see the difference in attitude between the US and the UK.

Here, pretty much everyone has a mobile phone (cell phone, whatever). By 2005 they expect pervasivness to reach >95% of the population owning one (it's at around 80% right now). They have gone from being a status item to being ubiquitous. People here are genuinely surprised if someone says they don't have one. Of course, 99% of the country has signal coverage and we have been almost exclusively using digital handsets for over five years now.
