You customize EVERY OS out of the box, why should Windows be any different? Hell, I just updated my smart phone to Android Lollipop, and spent the next SEVERAL HOURS getting it customized.
Sadly, Tyr was dropped in the middle of the series. The last season of Andromeda was just lame and uninteresting. Actually, the whole series was plagued with problems you you could plainly see while watching it.
The first season had really lame intro music. I imagine that the fans complained, and a better opening theme was written for subsequent seasons. Also, the production designer remodeled the bridge at the beginning of the second season, and there was no story-driven reason for it. I suspect it was because of lower than expected ratings. By the final season, Lexa Doig, who played Andromeda, was rarely in any of the episodes, so they replaced her with a random blonde.
Andromeda isn't the only series to suffer. I'm currently watching "Earth: Final Conflict". The first season was good, but they killed of a central character, and from that point on, all the remaining episodes seemed like filler.
There is no single piece of hardware that this GIF will run on that will run for 1000 years. Eventually, the capacitors in the power supply and motherboard will dry out, and cause a failure. The best solution is to run it on a VM or container that can be moved from hardware to hardware. This move probably won't happen instantaneously, so there is probably a little wiggle room for hardware maintenance.
And apparently, now everybody knows that 15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance. Well, Screw that! We need to get the word out. CPU registers are faster than level 1 cache! Suck it, Geico.
Any existing car company would really benefit from an Apple buy-out. Then maybe there wouldn't be as many face-palm electronic security holes like the Chrysler Jeep Cherokee vulnerability.
When I set up and unlock swipe pattern on my phone, I wanted to make sure it was not something simple that someone would guess. I was dismayed that:
You can't swipe to a non-adjacent point
and
If you double-back on your swipe path, you don't need to enter that double-back part of the path when unlocking.
I think using a swipe pattern is even LESS secure than using a pin with the same number of digits as swipe points.
Simpler answer: physical shock tolerance. Play a video game in the back seat of an SUV, or on your tour bus, and you will be thankful that your $500+ game system is not a brick the first time you hit a pothole.
I live with the belief that alcohol beats fat, so it's OK to have a beer with your burger.
After the Cherokee hacking debacle, a few people at Jeep/Chrysler *need* to feel bad.
No, the system will *USE* lasers to detect the sharks.... You just don't get it, do you Scott?
How about Sam Kinison?
What's the lowest barometric pressure possible? 0
What's the highest wind speed possible? I'm not sure, but I bet it would never exceed Mach 1.
If you're going to invent a scale, make sure that you properly define the bounds. Dvorak is a dummy.
"Food riot in progress. Approximately 1500 civilians. No weapons evident."
Ubuntu was the first to do that....

Tell that to the cops.

However, 91.5% uptime isn't very good.

Well, It's going to be a really interesting Halloween....
Nobody said that VW had to make a Diesel car. There are plenty of gasoline cars that get good mileage and have low emissions.

They're *ALL* red!
"Ripley, she doesn't have bad dreams because she's a piece of plastic."
What do they do if the apps have femaleware in them?
Is that what we're doing now? Putting an 'F' in front of the phone platform? It doesn't work so well with Fwindows or Fblackberries.

You say "Copyright Clowns", and I immediately think of Dr. Rockso.
They should really install a UTM appliance
Is Ashley-Madison even still in business? Can they even hope to get any more customers after this? Where is their income coming from?
