You know, Microsoft has said many times for each of it's new Operating Systems, "It's the most secure Windows ever". They said it for Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
...But not for Windows 10. They know it's not secure. It wasn't intended to be secure. It was intended to leak all your information to Microsoft.... And it does.
I doubt you can buy a color laser printer for $49, but that is how much many HP inkjet printers used to cost new. It sounded like a good deal until you got home.
The biggest advantage of Bitcoin is that it's anonymous. The blockchain might identify which wallet had those bitcoins, but there is no way to know who actually controls that wallet.
I think (this is merely speculation based on my limited experience) that "reserving" your copy of Windows 10 simply takes a profile of your computer hardware (serial numbers, mac address, etc) and sends it to the microsoft licensing servers so that you don't need to enter a Windows 10 product key when you install Win 10 from an ISO.
I performed an in-place upgrade on my Win 7 laptop, and it didn't ask for a key. I then swapped out the Hard Drive with a blank one, and installed Windows 10 clean from CD. It asked for a product key (twice) during setup, but you can choose to skip that. When install was complete, windows was activated! The activation server must have already known about my hardware being properly licensed.
Some of these are just knee-jerk reactions. For example: "Windows defender can be disabled, but after a while it turns itself back on". That is a *GOOD* thing. It protects you, and also prevents you from forgetting to turn it back on - That is something that computers were *MADE* for.... Doing things that are too hard or tedious for a human.
Also, inability to disable auto-updates (Windows home edition only). That's right, you non-patching bastard! The internet is filled with worms like blaster and nimda, and they will never go away because of idiots who don't patch against critical vulnerabilities. Inoculate your children too, you jerk!
You're missing the point. The improved dress code is not to impress your customers, it's to impress your INVESTORS. If HP is doing as badly as everyone says, then it might make sense that upper management may want to sell the company. Often, this means a prospective buyer taking a tour of your office. If everyone is dressed like a slob, then they would be willing to pay less for the company.
Also, what is to say that your "friend" who buys the ticket doesn't just go to another convenience store and buy another ticket with the same numbers. Then there would be 2 winners, and your takeaway winnings would be reduced proportionally. Also, the friend could tell other friends, and so on, and so on, and so on, until you win only $30.
In 1991, I was repairing PCs at a local shop. A desktop PC came in for some software to be installed. I powered it up, and installed the software. Then turned it off.... Or at least I flipped the power switch into the OFF position. The PC was still running.
Mind you, this is in the days where the power switches on PCs were big red toggle switches that were connected directly to the mains. Well, It's possible that there may be a mechanical fault in the power switch, so I pulled the power cord.
The machine was still running!
I rubbed my eyes in disbelief. I double, no, triple-checked that I had pulled the power cord from the correct PC, that I had the monitor plugged into the machine that I thought I did, etc.
I picked up my screwdriver, opened the case, and found a large expansion card populated with several batteries. It was an internal UPS that was feeding power directly to the motherboard!
After the gulf oil spill, I don't dislike deepwater oil drilling. I dislike the completely irresponsible company that floundered around for weeks before they even tried to fix the leak. There is nothing inherently evil about drilling for oil as long as adequate precautions are taken.
When you go to a coffee shop or convenience store and see a donation center for curing your favorite disease, read the fine print. Almost all of them will say the donations go to something like "cancer awareness". I think pretty much everyone is already AWARE of cancer. How about allocating the donations to RESEARCH?!

What if they make it 3D&D?

It would probably be cheaper if they just used Soy beans and lentils, like their name suggests.
Philly needs electronics!

It probably just runs off the power from a USB port.
Well, if I had access to the reader's data lines, I would ALREADY BE INSIDE THE BUILDING!
Which is now why Chrome is so bloated.
Other major features include Error 0x80240020.

Does you yourself has cheezburger?

Well, Linus doesn't *HAVE* to use gmail. There are other email providers.

Great! Incompetent Demons! I'm not worried at all...
It's music that even your parents thought was too old.
Does it run the Andromeda Strain Demo?
If you really want to get away with something like this, learn to spell so you won't get caught!

Too bad that not all ailments kill you BEFORE you can reproduce....
Ask your grandmother to donate her body to medical science after she dies. It might actually help other people with random seizures.
