I don't know how many times this must be said but no, Office on the Mac will not help moving Office to Linux. It is built on the carbon API which is the old mac toolbox.
I've always figured the "other" category breaks down mostly like the rest of the OS's. Since this is mostly people who are trying to protect their privacy (any other good reasons?). So I figure 90+% of those 5% are windows users, 3-5 are mac and so on. Anyone got a better theory?
Fourth Peeve: How do you cycle through windows on the apple? Sorry, you can cycle through applications using Command-TAB, but even cycling through application windows within products made by apple isn't standardized. No key combo to cycle through all open windows. Fortunately they have the nice F9-F11 keys for "fast" window switching.
command (apple key) and ~ (tilda) cycle through windows in a application.
I doubt this is the "correct" behavior but IE does at least one thing how I intended it where all other browsers do not. I have a div which I put images in. If the images go off screen from the browser window IE will force the div to be a little wider then the image. But all other browsers the image hangs outside the div until you make the window large enough to store the whole image without scrolling.
Now I'm sure IE is only guessing what I want to do and guessing right where the other browsers are rendering what I told them to do. But hey, everything is so screwed up I have no clue. Still learning it and all that.
probably the same number of people who miss what they were intending to click and accidently hit the ad. just like trying to close a pop-up and accidently becoming a "click though".
I'll try to answer theses from what I have seen of the "average" windows user (disclaimer mac user here)
-spyware- yup, they all hate it and those who have a clue have spybot/adaware. Those who don't do two things, 1) live with it and 2) eventually reinstall windows to get rid of it. (#2 happened yesterday for a guy I know)
-cost of software- if they know enough to install software then they probably know enough to steal it. This makes the cost argument of OSS hard when "Office/Windows/Photoshop" was free to them anyway.
-fixability- They have us. And as you said, if a reboot/geek can't fix it they just reinstall.
Please don't beat me up to badly, just playing devils advocate.
my frys story. I was looking for something after the Palo Alto store was expanded and asked a sales drone as he was coming out of some isle. He said to look up a few isles and ask another drone, so I did. He was no where to be seen so I started to look on my own. In the end the item I was looking for was right behind the first guy in the same isle he had just came out of, of course he didn't realize this and just tried to get rid of me.
I read it for the articles!:( I seriously did. The models are okay and all but far to much makeup and airbrushing for me so I read the articles and such. When I need porn I turn to DVD's and the good old net.;-)

I lost out on sex beacuse I was making a quick change to my code and commiting it. Even other geeks didn't side with me. Have yet to hear the end of it.
Do what I and many more people are doing. Stop supporting them, or start charging. I do NOT support windows users all I will tell them is run windows update and get AdAware & Spybot. I stop spending energies at this point. It's simply not worth it to fix up everyone elese problems so they can continue not taking care of it themselves.
Would it be possible to detect the extension instead of the website? The sites will constantly change and it would be impossible to keep up with, but if you could tell what the plugin itself is then it would be much easier to stop.

none. I didn't even know they had other products, let along a "ATM monopoly".
I do pull my OZ DVD"s out every 6 months or so and watch the whole series again. So yeah, people do.
ummm.....a small bribe?
Turn off the full screen anti-aliasing. It was a option when you launch the game or hold option while launching if you set it to not show up again.

Don't think so. I just checked and I have 9 and I know it's been ages since I downloaded it.
well kinda. 3 min 2 sec and some frames.
Cool way to make the treck less boring even if it's after the fact.
what about route 66 (God I hope that's it) from Nevada to east coast? Supposed to be one of the most deserted roads out there.

As is Douglas Engelbart. Pitiful.
wow that's nasty. Does not hit Omniweb so I assume the rest of KHTML is not effected.
