    Just remember, if this is what we have to complain about, are we doing so poorly? There are people around the world with no house at this very moment, due to lack of sufficient infrastructure, and our complaint is "my intertubes is too slows!"...

    There's nothing wrong with being thankful for what you have while working towards something better.

    It sounds more like someone's definition of 'metaphor' needs a little work. I'd say you aren't seeing the forest for the trees, but I don't want to get into a debate about what kind of trees they are.

    You are right. Whether they realize it or not, the "progressives" in the US tend more towards fascism than socialism

    I'd hardly call our current crop of Dems "progressive" by any means, and it seems to me that both the Democrats and Republicans are getting a little too friendly with fascism these days. Both the right and the left are getting fed up with their parties.

    The obvious solution is proportional representation, but we're too lazy to implement it. We've got the politicians we deserve.

    It's those who can no longer afford to eat or heat their homes etc. and can't get credit that will suffer.

    If your country's citizens need to borrow money to meet basic human needs, you have bigger problems than a carbon tax.

    And since our country is taxing it's citizens at the lowest rate in more than half a century, I'd say that you need to look elsewhere for your outrage.

    He illegaly gained access to servers in the US, so he commited the crime in the US and should be prosecuted there.

    That's an interesting situation. Did he go to the servers or did the servers come to him? Saying that he committed his crime in the US is bordering on wishful thinking for the prosecutors, but given the current fascist climate in America I'm sure it would work.

    I wonder how much money we've wasted on this bullshit over the last seven years. Is it vitally important that we hurt this man? If so, can we just have someone kick him in the nuts?

    Since Apple has an apparently arduous approval process for their app store, I'm assuming that they guarantee everything against this sort of foolishness. I didn't bother to read the 92 page EULA that went along with it, but they're an honorable company, right?

    The bezel gap makes me think this would be better suited for one main monitor and one monitor for menus/inventory/what-have-you, but I can't think of any games that would support something like that.

    Having a dedicated map monitor would be amazing for so many games.

    Actually it's probably more a question of will. Smaller government and better education starts locally, and we've seen that it's one thing to talk about doing something and another to reject federal money or vote for school levies.

    Of course, this is the same country that both claims to be a Christian nation and still has a death penalty. Logic is not our strong suit when it comes to governance.

    The Right pays lip service to "smaller government" just like the Left pays lip service to "better education". Great way to whip up the base in an election year, but the problem itself is simply too complex for our current crop of officials.

    You might look into becoming a client or partner with a smaller payroll company. They've got access to everything you need and will already be experts in dealing with the major banks' individual quirks.
