My wife finds it interesting and amusing as one of these SUVs drives by. She tells me to match and draft off of their speed so that she has something to watch. Now all that is needed is these SUVs to provide a strong enough signal for the laptop and the WIFI connection. Maybe then she will stop telling me how to drive.
Wish that I would get away with trying to build something like that. But instead of Santa visiting, the local fire department would be visiting instead.

As being curious to where one should and should not hang out, where should you not "hang out" on the net to avoid trouble? Certainly, if you had to do it again, what would you have wished that you have done that you wish that didnt do?
And in that cartoon, what is at the end of all those doors awaiting Yosimite Sam? TNT. You suppose that they will be finding the same? *grin

Due to the opinion of this book review, I got curious to what other people though of this book and took a look at their review. It seems more on the positive side at Amazon.com (while still mixed), but I will let you be the judge of that.
According to the article... The entertainment industry is trying to turn Peer-to-Peer into a bad name. This is wrong. Fax machines are Peer-to-Peer. Telephones are Peer-to-Peer. Email is Peer-to-Peer. Cell phones are Peer-to-Peer.
You catching your "Peeping Tom" neighborhood kid look as you are changing clothes is a Peer-to-Peer.
That's still pretty pricey -- what makes this panel so special?
Try 9.2 million pixels, for one thing.
To Loan Officer: Ah, yes, I would like to take out a loan?
Loan Officer: Good, what type of loan are you interested in?
To Loan Officer: A Monitor Loan.

Loan Officer: Ahh, I'll...be right back...
A friend of mine recently send me the following url... He asked me to post it here and to get an opinion from the/. users, but have to be honest, I really don't know how I feel. I want to say that I am still confused over the event.

Userfriendly.org comic explains it all. Check it out.
Mindblowingly realistic, but probably very similar games. Nothing much changes in video games...
Mind-blowingly realistic Grand Thief Auto. Does that include realistic pain?

What is your opinion on this article?
I do believe if he was still around today, this is what he would say. The first time that I read it (one year ago), it brought a tear to the eye.
With Wellington's population of only 166,000 (excluding the suburbs)...
Hum... out of the percentage of the population here, how many of them are online gamers? In opinion, that is one nice LAN party going on!
