Sure it has some bugs, but it's not even a.5 product! When it's done, chimera is gonna be an amazing browswer. I use it 95% of the time and I love it. (For heavy-duty downloads, I fetch the lizard;)
But the music piracy is mostly due to the same people you are deriding.
Have you talk to Joe and Jane six pack about fair use and copyrights? Or are you sitting in your parents basement? Too many people on/. sell the general American public short. Just take a look at the comments in the Walmart story. How many posts had "redneck" in them?

Your bottle neck isn't the processor, it's the SuperDrive. They are (relatively) slow at regular CD reads. I remember reading about that "problem" in Macworld a while back.
What if Padme gave the children to the Jedi for safe keeping, and didn't tell Anakin and the Emperor the whole truth. She dies at the hands of the Emperor (and before the eyes of Anakin) because she will not reveal the location of the children. She probably wouldn't indicate that there were twins either, so Vader thinks that there is only one.

Actually mp3 encoding is really fuckin fast on G4s. On my 500 MHz TiBook, I can hit 8x in iTunes I'm sure the newer ones can go above 10x.
