    Thats rather weak and arrogant. Its legitimate to say they typo squat mistakes made in the .cm TLD, but its a stretch to call that typo squatting .com.

    If its only used once, and you have to pass it securely, then why not just pass the message in place of the OTP? I understand that the message may not be ready. But in this light it seems like OTP is not 'encryption' but encoding?

    So I can copy it myself but I can't pay Circuit City to do it for me? Your contending that anyone who desires a backup must spring for their own backup hardware and software?

    Its a service that will fall under fair use. DMCA is another issue if they are decoding the dvd which I think they are.

    EVe is overwhelmingly UK. Majority of my corps have had most members from UK. Right now we are fighting against a large alliance of mostly Russian players. last year this time i was fighting against an alliance of mostly German players. Its hard finding many US players.

    In general everyone gets along and interacts. Its not like corps and alliances are firmly aligned along world geography. We have some from all over in our corp. But overall the largest groups seem to be.

    Why not integrate the GPU with the chipset? Like we do today...

    The GPU with the CPU would be far too much heat in one place. Furthermore think of the product line complexity. I can imagine the name of a GCPU XP97005600+2. Insane.

    So they would make all of their cards more expensive and difficult to support by adding an additional layer of firmware just to support the smallest segment of their market?

    NVIDIA is already supporting every cpu intel releases so they are not weighted to AMD. Im sure this will help ATI accelerate their chipset production having AMD right there to help out. It will be bad if ATI gets too 'in-house'. I recall that NVIDIA kicked up the AMD chipsets about the time AMD decided to drop their own chipset. Lets hope that AMD does not get anti-competitive. intel does not seem to be anti-competitive toward NVIDIA and intel makes chipsets.

    IIRC, historically ATI has been the market leader in graphics card penetration. They have had the laptop and OEM market locked up for a long time. Its only in aftermarket sales that NVIDIA has been strongly competitive. And recently NVIDIA has made inroads into the laptop market. Traditionally, video out has been the market for ATI.

    But I was not aware that NVIDIA was the market leader.

    There is no good reason for AMD to buy ATI. So I would not expect that deal to be "as good as done."

    Actually this is not entirely correct. He generally has not been dumping his stock. I don't think Darl is making the bucks here or at least not from stock sales, its mainly the SCOX lawyers. Darl is facilitating the revenue flow by keeping a good relationship with MS I assume. When I was shorting the stock it was MS and Sun that dumped millions into SCO. If it were not for MS and Sun SCO would have went negative a long time ago. I'm not sure if its still these two supporting SCO today...

    Its pretty simple. Your bonuses are paid 5 years after the terms you work. So you have no benefit to screwing the company for short term profits.

    Actually it is a direct problem with Dell. It may be a problem with more companies as well, but as a purchaser of Dell I could care less about those.

    Blaming the battery is laughable. I guess what Dell is trying to say is that they [Dell] don't add any value to the parts the sell!?

    Did they ask the developer if his password was weak?
    Did they try to crack it?
    Do they know it?

    I thought that was silly for years while using Redhat. When I switched to Mandriva I was happy to see the default was no.

    I also disable password login and only allow keyfiles. Which is more secure than the password because a password can be hacked from anywhere but a keyfile needs to be obtained locally. (wouldnt help in this case).

    Also I typs 'su' when I need root access. The dev account being hacked is not so big a deal as the local root exploit.

    I agree totally. The truth is probably something closer to folks online organizing so that OfficeMax has a much higher payout on the rebates than they did before. Plus them having to make sure they dont mix rebates and end up giving out great deals.

    They probably just aren't bilking the forgetful like they were before.

    Since i am using a 3ware card I am fully aware of this. I say your spreading FUD because you are saying its not a hardware RAID card.

    If you want to say its not the best because it uses more of the CPU that others, then OK. I'm not trying to make out like this card is up there with the more expensive cards...

    BAsically I got hardware RAID because its so easy to use on failure. I don't have time to worry about bootsectors and which OS can boot in RAID and which not. Hardware is flawless.

    I might also point out that you too have drivers for your drive controllers. And you have drive controllers. Using Hardware RAID does not inject more hardware into the equation than what you have.

    Besides, Software RAID is not the same as hardware RAID. one RAIDs partitions, one RAIDS drives. Sorry about yoru bad experience but I have been using software RAID on Redhat for about 4 years now. The hardware RAID setup was much simpler and have not had any issues as yet.

    I should also say that FakeRAID offers the worst of both worlds...

    They just, you know, don't buy it. Thats exactly why Wal-mart and every other 'mart' purchases censored versions. Because they care about money and not much else.

    Its a remarkable stupid situation where one company can't do something that other companies have done every day.

    Beautiful. I have tried to explain for a time that this is not just the measure of encryption but the measure of security itself.

    Security is the difference in access-pain for those with permisison vs. those without. Putting something where nobody can get to it is not ultimate security, thats no security at all.

    As for the satellite, I presume the European one is offering more accuracy and that it can't be shut off by the US Government. Well not because they unilaterally decide to.

    Also I'm surprised if anyone in US would be able to use this cracked satellite data in the US due to DMCA. But everyone else in the world can, lol.

    I have received good prices through rebates and have yet to not be given what was listed. Seems like there are a lot of people out there like me. In fact there are rebate hunters and rebate websites for tracking now.

    I learned in highschool that your car could not be searched unless the police were in hot persuit of you when they caught you, or they had a warrant. Or of course, you concent.

    Police always ask if they can search through my car and I always say no. 90% just let it go, 10% proceed to search anyway, but those that did never showed up in court.

    If I had not learned that in highschool likely I would learn from TV and TV has become a testbed for what violations society will accept.
