Well, the license agreement for the OS supplied with a Mac allows you to sell/transfer the the license to another person/machine... big difference to MS, I must say...
Take a deep breath and throw most of them out... Most of your stuff (drivers etc) can be redownloaded and once your data hits CDs most of them will never be put into your CD-drive again...
I had similar problems a while ago (when the first version of iTunes for Windows came out). My iPod would skip some tracks and play others just fine.
I did some debugging and found out that iTunes would transfer all my 15GB of to precisely one of the twenty folders on the iPod. My guess is that the iPod could not find the track quickly enough before it would time out and skip to the next track.
I have recently downloaded the newest version of iTunes in which the problem seems to be gone.
I must say that I still am not using iTunes on my windows machine. As some european iPod users know, Apple has implemented a volume cap on iPods sold in Europe due to some French screwed up law about a company not being allowed to sell personal audio products that could result in impaired hearing when you're ninety:-). A way to circumvent this cap is to run a program that boosts the audio level registered in the iPods track database. After doing this the iTunes is not smart enough to figure out that the tracks still corresponds to the tracks it transferred earlier, and starts transferring ALL the tracks once again. iTunes is seemingly the only windows program for the iPod that has this flaw, many other transferring/synchronisation program works just fine.
Well, IMHO IP banning is the best way of both filtering emails and for "educating" spam friendly ISPs.
Since IPs are a limited resource, as opposed to email-addresses, ISPs will need to guard this resource if they want to stay in business (that is, if everybody were to use blacklists such as SPEWS).
If all ISPs would start using lists such as SPEWS, it wouldn't take long before most spam friendly ISPs would either have to wisen up and remove spamming elements from their IP space, or go out of business.
And what prevents anyone from taking an ordinary signature, putting it on the pad and tracing over the original signature making a prefect copy?
With a normal signature experts are able to verify the signature by looking at the pressure used on the pen in different parts of the signature. A feature that is very much lost with this "digital signature"
Wow, that's an even cooler phone. A shame about the Apple-lookalike-colors though.
I would seriously like to know in what price range the P800 is going to be. I know that the Nokia 7650 is supposed to be priced around 550 Euros, and it can already be preordered from some german mobile site for about 450 Euros if you sign up for an expensive subscription. You can preorder it for 750 Euros without subscription.
If you are a real mobile phone freak like me, you ought to be interested in the new Nokia 7650 mobile phone. It has a color display, digital camera (640x480), bluetooth, does MMS, has MIDP JAVA support and uses the Symbian OS.
Look at the live CeBIT web-thing demonstration the MMS feature here (it has girlie pictures:-)).
How much coolant does a normal cooling system need?
You see, I'm planning on making a very 31337 goth mod for my Quake-machine so that it uses blood as coolant, and I need to know when to stop draining my vein...
The music industry just have to start LICENSING the music to us, like the software indystry.
Then you have to call Garth Brooks in order to get permission to sell your used CD.

Remember that if the image gets 4x bigger in width and height (i.e. 9600x16000) the amount of memory needed is 16x larger.
So if you maxed out your 256MB RAM in Photoshop and it isn't a "smart program" he will need 4GB RAM.
Again it all boils down to whether Photoshop is "smart" or not.

Yoda Says: Optimise JAVA code by inlining methods you can. Optimising slashdot karma by inlining article you cannot.
Yeah, I was just browsing through the film-schedule looking for interesting stuff when I found this
5:15 PM - Counterfeit Film
hmmm. Maybe it's a hint, or maybe it was just
7:30 PM - Made-Up
anyway I'm real sad that I don't get to see
2:00 PM - Sean Connery Golf Project
If that's not a box-office hit, I don't know what is (and I don't).

You want me to put make-up on my CPU? What's next? a pink leotard and a tutu?
I normally use . between the words to indicate phrases. So "my search phrase" would be my.search.phrase Usually that does the job..
This will be big. Soon loads of famous people will call in to read small parts.
