    Not taking notice of experts and plowing on because you believe in something is important. It's much easier to do when you're young.

    Let's see how that sounds with some other EEOC categories:

    • It's much easier to do when you're straight.
    • It's much easier to do when you're male.
    • It's much easier to do when you're not disabled.
    • It's much easier to do when you're Buddhist.
    • It's much easier to do when you're from China.

    No, I don't think he would get away with publicly stating any of those as hiring preferences. Yet hardly anyone bats an eye when he states his intent to discriminate in hiring based on age, in clear violation of Equal Employment Opportunity laws.

    I am sick of "smart" products. From the smart text selection in MS Word, which always selects more or less text than I actually want, to the climate control in my car, which insists on turning on the A/C when I just want some cool fresh air, they invariably get it wrong. I know what I want and I am smart enough to make my own choices.

    Jesus never existed.

    Please study some actual sources, particularly Tacitus, before embarrassing yourself in public again. Even most secular scholars find Tacitus' account of Jesus' execution by Pontius Pilate to be authentic. If you don't want to believe in miracles, the divinity of Christ, etc., that is another discussion. But saying that Jesus never existed is just dumb.

    What matters is not the absolute cost, but the cost relative to each side's resources. Sure, a smart bomb costs more than a Toyota pickup with a machine gun mounted on the back. But if we can afford to buy more smart bombs than they can afford to buy Toyota pickups, we win!

    That happens all the time on one of my computers with FF. Double-clicking the || (pause) button usually fixes it for me. YMMV.

    Perhaps people who make different decisions than you are not necessarily less intelligent than you. They may just have different priorities. This is basically "pay what you want", and some people would like to return a little financial support to a company that is providing them with enjoyable entertainment.

    I'm 50+ and I love Pokemon Go. I had lost interest in computer games because I spend all day sitting in front of a computer and don't want to spend my spare time doing that too. I like to get out of the house for fresh air and exercise. But thinking "I have to do two miles today", every day, makes it feel like a chore. Pokemon Go makes it fun.

  24. This is news? Any computer with a direct connection to the internet get thousands of "cyber-attacks" every day, mostly from automated script-kiddy tools. It has been this way for at least the past 20 years.
