    There are two kinds of ocean circulation, horizontal and vertical. The horizontal circulation is driven by wind. The vertical circulation is driven by change in the density of sea water. The horizontal circulation is way more powerful than the vertical one. And technically, both wind and density change in sea water are caused by the sun, so I would not say you are wrong, but it's still about the wind.

    If we extract too much energy from wind, there will be no more ocean current. You know, the ocean current is driven by wind. And if there is no ocean current, the world will become a miserable place to stay. I assume the earth will become a frozen ice ball if there is no ocean current. BTW, I hope you have a rough idea how much energy we are talking about, so you can still have a good sleep after your turkey.

    But "Food imports from China as share of U.S. food supply" is 0.4%.

    BTW, the first flight of YF22/YF23 was in 1990, 7 years before the birth of /., the first flight of this J20 is 2011, that's 21 years, not "a few years" as in the GP. And F117 was publicly revealed in 1988 ...

    I do agree that science should be separated from politics and that manuscript should be rejected. I don't agree with Chinese government on a broad spectrum of issues. I sincerely hope there will be a revolution to bring Chinese people a better government system, and I wish there won't be blood. But holding people "apart by walls of hatred and lies" is also against my faith.

    I hope you realize those U-shaped line were drawn by the then Kuomintang government of the Republic of China in 1947, two years before the commie took control of main land China.

    On the Taiwan, I hate to make duplicated posts, but there is really a map to support it.

    And PR of China has no territory dispute with Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea andPakistan.

    If you argue that RO China, the defeated government at Taiwan is having dispute as shown in the map I post before, I don't have much to say.
