After I thought about this carefully I've come the conclusion that Lasers are cool and we should use them in space for any purpose we can find for them even if the application is less than ideal. Now I have a good reason for this. When ever NASA uses a big freak'n laser its bound to be front page news. If NASA can get the public ooh'ing over the neat stuff maybe they can get the funding to do some really cool stuff. Yes, I'm kidding.
I don't know much, but I have read that Palm is basicly sitting on BeOS. A company called BeUnited inquired about licencing it but couldn't pay Palm's asking price which I believe was around $2million. Also unlike many early rumors palm is not baseing PalmOS 5 on BeOS code. Palm 5 was however writen by largly the same group of coders that came from Be.
Maybe this is Russia's long term plan to feed its people. Fuel development for Space technology and thereby by build a economy on space-tech. Disclaimer: I'm just shooting from the hip here and have no facts to back this up, but this is/.
BasiliskII is awsome. I've tried all of them and BasiliskII is the only one I kept. I love to see my friends freek out when they see the MacOS boot screen on my Sony Laptop. Anyway, I'm assuming that sence you asked about it you actually want to give Emulation a shot, so here's a tip or two. After you download the BasiliskII files(They are hosted on Sourceforge) find a nice person who has a good basic virtual Mac HardDrive file. Sence the Emulator uses a big file to simulate a harddrive you can just boot from that. Oh, I'm sure you wouldn't pirate on purpose, so make sure you only load the ROM of a Mac you already own ($25 on EBay will get you a Mac with a ROM you can use) and buy a copy of MacOS 8, or save a few bucks and stick with MacOS7 which is free from Apple. Oh one final tip, look for the JIT version, It is very well done. I'll stop rambleing now...
I know that having the subjects lie on their backs is the best simulation of weightlessness over time, but it seems like a poor substitute. Their bodies are being stressed by gravity that would not be present in space. That difference could lead to either more of less 'health' over the long term. In low muscle exertion environments (I made that term up:), a little stress may increase bone degeneration or may be a catalyst for bone growth. I think the only way to get true results may be study people on the space station, which I believe is being done...
I keep wondering if this is a tax thing. I know from a few buisness cases that there are situations in which companies lose money on certain projects for tax breaks/and writeoffs.
I don't really think that WalMart cares if its customers are getting a choice. I think what they are trying to do is to figure out wether or not they can make higher profits by avioding the MS tax(I know, I know, that term is getting old). If people will buy a PC w/o Windows and Walmart can keep some of the difference then you can bet they will stick with it. If not they won't keep linux around just to give a choice to customers.
Will an adverage PC be able utilize that speed? Can I send data to my harddrive at 10 G-Bit? Sorry for the ignorance, and thanks for the inlightenment which is sure to come.
I what I find even more funny, is that (according to FOX news) the paper countinues to claim that it properly followed up and checked the sources and when Fox reporters questioned them about it, they simply replied (I'm paraphrasing) "How do you know our reporters didn't make calls to confirm this story?"
If I were AMD I'd stick to Hammer.
Hammer says:
I'm hip, I'm happening; I can kick your a$$. I'm tough; I scare the hell out of the porkiest, poorly optimized code. Grrrrr
Opteron says:
I ware glasses.
I like to run it on my Samsung i300(Palm powered Cell phone). I have found however that it will go down with only two requests at the same time. Oh well. Its still fun
OK that subject line sucked, but anyways... I'm running the httpd webserver on my samsung i300 (a palmOS cell phone). To tell you the truth I find it quit usfull, when one of my fraturnity brothers needs the phone list or GPAs from last semester instead of reading 50 names and numbers out over the phone I turn on the webserver app and give him a URL that he can load up and print out. I think these small PDA/Cell webservers are the prototypes of the small servers almost everything is going to have built in. Imagine having car problems and even befor you know about it the diagnostics computer in you car has already uploaded that information though a wireless link to your local shop, who can then give you a call and set up a repair.
I've been told in my Film class here at GSU that if population growth and inflation were taken into account the highest grossing movie of all time would have been "Gone with the Wind". Its still in the top hundred grossing movies, or was until recently
I hate to contradict people, but I must point out that your assumption that CR-Rom is incorrect. I checked apples ES-Education page and found that a CDRom is standard on the lowest price model only. Other models get better drives.
This may be blaringly obvious to everyone else, but this seems like a good solution to the problems apple has been having getting its hands on LCD parts.
I can't wait. This is really going to be great for me. I've wanted a Mac ever since OSX came out. Unfortunately as a student, I can't really afford a new iMac, and I didn't really want to buy an old iMac with a G3 (I think it won't be supported much longer). I bet this will be a bit less expensive. I like the bigger screen as well.
I use it for the same reason I use other Microsoft products. I don't consider any of the office programs I use the best, but I use them anyway because that is what I need to be compatible with teachers at school and coworkers at work.
If NASA does this, they are gonna hafta watch those english/metric conversions.

I should have said "upgrade 'from' 95." I guess thats what the preview button is for I
I bet the can't make my company upgrade. I'm still trying to get them to upgrade to 95.
I'm getting moded down for this, but.... You're Coyboyneal arn't you.?.

He's still pissed about the whole GUI thing... Is that funny to everyone, or just me?

I can't think of a good reason to justify a upgrade to 64bit. Its killing me, not to have a reson to get one... or four.
I like to run it on my Samsung i300(Palm powered Cell phone). I have found however that it will go down with only two requests at the same time. Oh well. Its still fun

That's what I need. I just can't afford that kind of money for a database program. Besides that I don't want to trust my data with M$.
