The decisions for new features and modifications will be made by consesnsus among the members (along with a consideration of the feasibility of implementation), not dictated by a single person or clique. At this site there are no watch lists, no post deletions or editing of posts by anyone other than the original author, and no bans. The flame posts are chosen by voting by all members and you have the choice of how many negative votes a post can have before you don't see it. to read the fine print? You'd think living in a lawyer-happy world make people do that but it appears not. And it's not like these types of contracts are new either. A physics prof of mine got into a debacle with Northwestern U. since they claimed rights to a "discovery" my prof made while doing research there. NW then tried to silence said prof from publishing the discovery which was well within their contractual right. The prof published anyway and was almost put through a nasty lawsuit but things settled down I guess. The prof still bitches about it even though he admits to signing the contract. Read what you sign!!!
IANAL and I have question about Gnutella. Assuming the new Morpheus takes off or there is a similar and sudden mass migration to Gnutella, could the RIAA or whoever just get some people to sit on the Gnutella "network" and glean IP addresses from users, trace them, and start arresting people and make those arrests public to instill fear? That wouldn't be hard as they control the media. But then, would that be possible/legal? Would a P2P network that encrypted everything be safer? Would the RIAA agent collecting IP info be irrelevant because of entrapment or similar?::Insert similar questions::

I think if this technology happened, a lot of women would opt to have a baby outside their womb so as to not be bogged down for nine months. After a certain amount of time of this acceptance, there would be a push for genetic purification...elimate all the genetic defects...then you'd have regulations...only certain babies allowed to live in order to have optimized countries. I'm glad I'll be dead before this matures.
