Actually a lot of movie theaters nowadays use digital projectors, the movie comes on some sort of *gasp* digital media. Who operates the projector? People who more often than not like tech toys. It would take them a couple days to rip a theatrical quality movie to a DivX.:-)

The ones that dont have digital only screens, they considered it, thought about how much it would cost to refurbish 1 or multiple screens, just to have practically NO other movies coming out in digital.
i was under the impression all linux geeks running gui based linux(KDE or GNOME) were running high performance boxes. After all, in my independent tests, both OS's seemed to required a minimum of 500 mhz with 128 megs of ram, and even that was rather slow once you started opening up web browsers etc.
personally i strive to show the intellectual superiority of the "einstein trolls", such as myself. But then, the continuous domination of linux zealots such as those that live on slashdot, is hardly difficult.
