Because there's no "design" to evolution. Whatever works, works. And there's not one "right" way to evolve. There's no reason for a feature that evolves in one species to independently evolve in other species (although it's possible.)
Following this logic, if he were still alive and in prison, there would be no reason to release him once his "crime" ceased to be labeled as a "crime."
Yeah, it matters, because if an encryption key is to be generated by having both sides observe their particle at "the same time," it's important to know how this is affected by time dilation.
Assume two entangled particles, two synchronized atomic clocks, and two observers. Each observer has agreed to measure the state of their particle at a predetermined time, relative to their atomic clock. Assume one observer/clock/particle is on a spaceship that has been traveling near the speed of light for some time.
What happens when the particles are observed? Will the results be the same, because somehow time is "linked" even though it seems to pass differently for each observer? Will the results be different, because the particles are somehow linked "instantaneously?" (What does that even mean in this context?)
If the former, what happens if the particle is brought back to Earth? We should find the atomic clocks were no longer synchronized. (This part has been tested, right?) If so, wouldn't that mean the particles were permanently out of sync, and that by observing one of them, one could predict the future state of the other? As in, predicting the future?
IANAP, just pointing out some apparent paradoxes that for all I know have been solved.

Actually, the point is, nobody is going to say, "I don't have to buy that CD because I downloaded the lyrics for free and now I can sing it to myself whenever I want to hear it."
Ridiculous. Lyrics are supposed to be free, and printed on the album liner, just like always...oh, wait, there's no room anymore on the teeny-tiny CD insert. Well, there is if they choose to spend a few extra cents and make it a booklet.
The point is, NOBODY is infringing anything by trying to find and understand the lyrics to a song on a CD they have bought, or even a song they heard on the radio and are contemplating buying.
This is stupid because they can only set a specific decibel level based on the specifications of the earbuds that come with the ipod and how far into the "average ear" they go.
Cram them in tight and the db level goes up.
Use another set of earbuds or headphones with higher sensitivity and the db level goes up. Not even amplified, just a higher sensitivity level!
If by chance you are using a different set of headphones that are less sensitive than the stock earbuds, that is when you really need to be able to turn up the volume.
The servers are very busy. When you are in the process of going through several screens to "buy" Linspire for "free" with the coupon code, very often you will be redirected to a "busy" page. Refreshing the page will not resubmit your request, it simply refreshes the "busy" page, so very often you have to start over. Sometimes you can go "back" to the previous screen and try again, and sometimes going "back" just sends you to the "busy" page. So...
On every page where you have to continue, check whether the link can be opened in a new window/tab. Some steps can, some can't. Open the next step in a new window/tab if you can. If it comes up "busy" just close it and try again from the previous screen that is still in its own window/tab. Repeat this until you are done.

Lotsa good stuff. Especially:
filemon
regmon
process explorer
rootkitrevealer
For filemon and regmon be sure to set some filters or you will be deluged with info on every process running on the system.
If you're going to config it all as a ram disk anway, why not search for a hardware device that appears to be an IDE or SCSI drive but is actually a bank of DIMMs? Then your limitation is the size hard drive the motherboard/OS can handle, not the amount of memory the motherboard supports.
I'm pretty sure I've heard of something like this but you can do the googling from here...

Well, that's easy! Just make your money by playing your guitar.
When you figure out how, be sure to let me know.:)

How is this news? Everyone knows microwave ovens cook faster than traditional ovens.

I second that Rockstar tastes like cough syrup. Bleh!
I knew I should have written this when I thought of it 10 years ago. (Sigh.) :)
But the advertisers love the new format.

No? Hey, no fair!

I guess no one got the A/C's joke.
Well, of COURSE it's got a "hot spot", with a name like Enchiladas.
Oopsies.

I like! In fact, I like it so much, I think I'll assign random sounds to ALL system events!

Have you looked into SMPTE at all? Google on that, maybe it'll help, just a guess.

Soon to be made into a movie starring Uma Thurman.
It's called "Bill Kills".
Oh! How quaint! [cracks knuckles]
