How can this be serious? Loads of software that people install screws up there system but the eula always says that the company take no responsibility for any damaged caused. Out of all the things that software could do to bugger up you system, changing a few internet connection settings doesn't seem like that big a deal. Then again this is America, where people sue at the drop of a hat.
Does anyone know of a web site that explains how dns works along with instructions on how to set up your Win2000/Linux box correctly? Preferably simpler than a standard HowTo over at LinuxDoc
A large LCD would probably be the easiest on the eyes, if not on the wallet. If you can afford a large lcd monitor, I would go for it. Otherwise a large CRT would have to do. That said, any flat screen large monitor is kewl.
Oil isn't just used to create energy. It is used in the maufacture of most thing: plastic, detergents, synthetic fabrics etc. So I don't think that it would destroy the income of oil making countries, but it certainly would hurt them.
Despite AOL Time Warner's alterer motive behind there desire to buy RedHat, I think it could
be greatly beneficial to the linux 'cause' due to the money and resources that they could bring
to RedHat. If it does all go pearshaped then people can always just turn to any of a number
of other distributions.
