It certainly wasn't intended to be, but I do find it annoying that Apple isn't working harder on bringing good videocards to mac. I spent nearly $5,000 on my quad core and was let down by the videocard performance when I switched to bootcamp and loaded up a few games like CSS and HL2.
I in all seriousness went out and got a PC just for gaming as a result.
On an unrelated note, ever since the NSA started giving me free Cisco routers, I can't help but think they're just honest guys trying to help out regular Joes like me.
Sure, say that now, just wait till you play a record on a chinese turn table that turns out to be playing at 78rpm, next thing you know everyone on the dance floor will be dancing like their on speed or something.
The solution: Buy a router from every major router maker, then use them all chain-linked together. That way you get super-ultra firewall protection.. and unless the Chinese AND the NSA are working together, you can't be hacked! FLAWLESS VICTORY!
Really? Suppose I'm used to yellow lights lasting 6 seconds, and I know I can get through the light in 5 seconds. Now the city changes the yellow light length to 3 seconds, without warning. Do I have a choice then?
Yellow light means "stop". I don't know why people think it means "hit the gas and try to get through the intersection real fast".. because it's not.
Yellow. Means. Stop.
There is an exception to the above statement, if you *cannot* stop before the intersection without breaking excessively hard, you are then permitted to continue at your current velocity through the intersection, this is referred to as the 'point of no return'. If you have not passed the point of no return you are required to stop. It's really that simple.
You're confusing best practices and allowable practices.
I code in PHP regularly and I don't even let notices slip by without correction. Yes, PHP lets any garbage code run, yes that's not a good thing; but that's why PHP is so popular, cause it's so damn easy to make a script.
PHP trolls (I'm not accusing you of being one) never seem to get that.

I haven't had to do a clean reinstall on any of my macs since OS 9..
I can't tell you how many times I've had to reinstall windows on my PCs.. I've completely lost count.

I have a rating of "Karma: Excellent", how many trolls can say that?
>Ok, I'm 99% sure you're a blatant troll, but to give you the benefit of doubt..
Take a look at my posting record and ask yourself if I'm a troll.
True enough, but why should apple focus on only mobile gaming and ignore their computer lineup?
How about Apple fixes it's graphics cards lineup before shooting for the moon.
I have a Quad-Core 3.0 and I can tell you, with the GPUs that came with it, I can barely play WoW, nevermind any other new games.
I had to buy a new PC in order to play any of the new games out because my mac (as great as it is), cannot handle the games.
Oh, I am, am I?
Is that what you think?
Well if that's what you think, I have something to tell you...
Something which may shock and discredit you...
And that thing is as follows...
I'm not wearing a tie at all.
Oh yeah? What color is my tie?
That sounds like advanced stuff to me.
On an unrelated note, is anyone here good with hello world programs? Mine keeps crashing.

You clod, it's not God's hand holding us down on earth, it's angels, what do you think they exist for?!
The least you could've done is quoted me when responding. gosh.
and for a lowly webmaster like me.. where can I find these audio functions in php?
BAM!
Wanna tell me how I can easily replace my captcha system with something a blind person, but not scammers can use?
and, please don't tell me to do without, captchas are great tools for stopping spamming.
By the way, there is a WYSIWYG editors for both mysql and postgres that handles triggers..

It's all fun and games until someone loses.. oh, right.
