    Just read that - I hadn't heard about it before, although it happens in other protocols - ldap, for example.
    Does Apache support it, and if it does, is there any plan to get it integrated into browsers? Or is it like the IPv6 thing, where everyone is saying, Bah, who needs that - IPv4 (https) works fine.

    I won't do anything on a computer that requires a password that I care about from a 'puter that isn't my home computer.



    Carry round Knoppix/Ubuntu/Gentoo Live CD. Boot off that, and you're safe. Apart from hardware nonsense, which you're probably OK with at a friends house. Depending on your kind of friends.

    On a similar note, phoneboxes in the UK are disappearing, as there are more mobile phones in the UK than people now.

    I always thought that it was "move, if it's the same device, copy, if it's not". When you drag a file to a network share, do you want it to disappear locally?

    Make it use SRV records too. It's annoying if your domain name A record points at a hosted box, but you want to receive SIP calls for it on another box. SRV records are supposed to do it, but KPhone doesn't use them. Gah.

    I think we've heard this with every Windows release since 2000.
    "Oh, but this one will stop pirates."
    "Oh, but this one will be much more secure."
    "Yes, we'll play more nicely with the standards."

    Frankly? I hope they make the anti-piracy measures 100% effective. More people might be pushed over the tipping point, and give Linux a try.

    The trouble? There's no DNS entry for df-gwy-07.exchange.corp.microsoft.com, and hence Postfix (with reject_unknown_hostname ) slings out the mail.

    And one other thing - language. Finnish is pretty much only spoken by them and Hungary. Swedish has commonalities with Danish and Norwegian, I'm lead to believe.
    So, if I had to learn either Swedish or Finnish, it'll be .se for me.
