I like most of KDE, but there are a few things that aren't up to scratch.
Konqueror. Just use Firefox.
That funny music player. XMMS, hands down.
Kopete. Haven't tried it for years, but when I last looked at it, anything was better.
The man hours that are wasted trying to re-invent the Konqueror wheel could be better put to use doing something else, and contributing little patches to Firefox to integrate it more into KDE.
Please, someone, explain to me (and maybe many other Brits) what Kool Aid is, and why people should/should not drink it. I hear it all over teh intarwebs, and I don't know what it is.
Yeah, I bet it isn't even a virus. Someone was caught looking at porn, and they came up with the excuse:
Look! It must be a virus. Oh yeah, Star Office. They don't have viruses, you say? Well, it must be the first one ever.
WTF? If I've got anyone in IT putting 1,000,000 rows in a spreadsheet, I'm seriously considering demoting them. If you're going to have a million rows, get a database.
Yeah, but if it couldn't support many, you'd be the first saying: Heh look at teh l4me Excel. It's because evil M$ wantz joo to buy SQL server. Evil, evil.
Is this a change from the current laws? Giving them up (on pain of 5 years) when asked for is one thing. Giving them up in advance takes it to a whole new level. What does this include? SSH id_dsa keys? SSL certs? Passphrases for mounting crypto partitions?
And trust it to the government? They have never once run an IT project properly. Disgusting (if true).
Oh, I know they can support it fine. I just assumed the standard boot disks would support it. But no, you have to faff around with other disk, and drivers and stuff.
It's nothing major, and nothing that I couldn't fix. Just one more little irritation though.
Can anyone tell me why a person would want to use Ubuntu on a server, as opposed to just using Debian?
If I can apt-get install mod_security in Ubuntu, I'm all for changing. I have tried to like Debian, I really have. But no Compaq RAID drivers on the boot floppies I downloaded, and loads of software I need not in the main apt-get lists just means that I can't be bothered with it. Gentoo doesn't kick itself in the head with this sort of thing.
So can you provide evidence of:
* Rumsfled making a lapsus about "these terrorists who pilot a plane into the WTC and a missile into this very building" while at the Pentagon
* half of the presumed "hijackers" still alive in Saudi Arabia or Qatar

Last time KDE crashed/messed up on me? Not in the last few years. Currently KDE 3.5.2 via Gentoo, and it's lovely.
Cowboy Neal in Slashdot troll shocker! Read all about it for only $19.99 at all good book stores
Personally, I'd find RAID 1 a better choice. Whack it through the dm-crypt layer, plonk XFS on top, and it'd be good to go.
Yep. On a 1600 pixel wide monitor, it's a long way to look over to see the rating of a comment.
Just a question. Who will actually pay a lot of money for that data? And what do they think they'll be able to get from it?

Did not learn.
GATTACA. Watch it.

What!? Are you insane? Repost it, and get the karma again - that's what we all do!
Excellent! Everyone's a criminal. Now just make sure you toe the party line, otherwise we could, you know, check up on you.

But as you can't run vhosts over an SSL connection, it would be obvious which site your visitors were visiting.

Add to that list of stuff: the PHP PDF module. Wonder what the reason for that is.

Mod me down: It's just my opinion.
No, no, I wasn't criticising! But I was just wondering about the history of that expression.

Just noticed something strange - why do we in English say "took" a shit/dump? Made, Did, Had, I can understand, but took just seems entirely wrong.
Can someone explain to the rest of us how the impeachment process works?
Can't a random American start the ball rolling?
I think that Linus should wave his magic wand, and add a little clause that says these guys are exempt.
Yeah, I know, I know. Don't bother...
