That's pretty interesting. I do exactly the same thing. I record what I eat via my mobile phone, and analyse the fat/protein/carb ratio. I try to stay under 1200. Some days I go to the gym, and work off 1200 cals. That means that I (in theory) lose 225g of fat, as my body is in deficit.
How about if i'm just buying a new TV and want to weight in my choice the environmental track record of the manufacturer?
Or am buying clothing and want to know if the manufacturer uses child labour?
Or am buying financial services and want to know how does that company treat it's employees?
Most people don't have any principles, and just take the easy/cheap option.
I have needed to run Windows applciations quite a few times, but because I refuse to run Windows at home, I can't. It's just my principle.
I believe that to be healthy we should act as much as possible like cavemen/women did. After all, we haven't evolved much since then. So, running around, eating meat and being hungry are how we are designed to be. We all eat so much nowadays. Do you know how much you need to survive on?
I think each country should have their its own root DNS server. (France should own.fr)...
One run by each of the permanent United Nations security council members? Or am I starting a flamewar here by mentioning the UN with regards to the Internet?
It is possible that some countries could withdraw support from ICANN, and this decision even opens up the gate for a separate DNS system to be established outside the US's control.
People switched to Google and Gmail pretty fast. I bet you would have said "MSN search is the default search tool, and Hotmail is what MS push all the time, so I doubt anyone will knock them off their spot any time soon" a few years ago.
I only found out recently that the US got involved in WW2 only when it was agreed that we would pay all their troops, fuel and other expenses. It's a debt that runs on until this day.
* Operating system: Windows 2000, Windows XP * CPU speed: Intel® Pentium® PIII 500 MHz * System memory (RAM): 128MB * 200MB hard-disk space * 3D graphics card: 3D-capable video card with 16MB VRAM * 1024x768, 32-bit true color screen * Network speed: 128 kbps ("Broadband/Cable Internet")
I/m getting a little tired of Google completely forgetting the numerous Linux and Unix users.
Stop dick-measuring. It's not the fact that a Scandinavian country with a small population has had enough of being locked in, it's the fact that a sovereign country has woken up to the fact that using proprietary formats doesn't do anything for them, and has kicked sand in the face of the big bully.
For me, it's uplink speed that's important. I could upgrade my 512k connection to 2Mb/s, but the uplink would stay at 256k. The more that downlink outweighs uplink, the more it prevents home users from starting sites, and leaves the content of the web in the hands of the large companies with the outgoing bandwidth.

I thought that said faeces. Perhaps I should go to the loo.
Is it the same in South America/South Africa? Or is it that Australia/NZ suffers worse for some reason?

Let's help them out.

Funny you should say that... :)
Yep.
What about a anonymous, free one?
We are. Although not with PHP and MySQL.
Windows Current. The best OS - until we need to sell you another one.

If Google pushed Jabber, let's say, and a Google-branded OS based on Linux, Microsoft would wither rapidly
I like your sig :)
It's been 6 seconds since you hit 'reply'.
Cmon Google.

Where does the name TrollTech come from?
I'm happy with my 256/512 for £25 a month. Mind you, it has newsgroups, no filtered ports, and really helpful tech support.

Wouldn't that make it not empty any more? :)
So unless it's a large country, it's irrelevant? I wish other countries would take stands like this.

I'm lucky. I know lots of really fast FTP servers with lots of high quality software on them. And best of all? It's completely free, and legal.
