It's the same idea as all of those keypads for the phones that light up 19 different colors. You can make the lights go off by using any cell phone near the phone with the lights.
I agree that OS X is going to be the savior of Apple. I had played around on OS 9 a lot because my brother is a graphic artist and has always used macs and I found out that I hated OS 9. Later on, a friend showed me OS X and I switched almost immediatly. I ordered an 867 G4 tower when it was the fastest chip Apple made and shortly after bought an iBook. I never would have switched if it wasn't for OS X. The funniest part was that my brother didn't want anything to do with OS X until one day I just put it on his computer and he spends 90% of his time in OS X now.
That sounds like more work than I want to do. With Rendezvous there will be zero config. This is what I want. I will buy a new Tivo if I have to it. I just hope it can stream video too.
Yeah. Windows fails 100% of the time.

I like how the lite switch icon is the system preferences icon without the apple logo.
The eMac has dropped to $799 now and that is for the 1 GHz G4 with a combo drive.
actually the S105 only has a 12 bit screen which in case you didn't know is 4096 colors. the V205 is the one with the 16-bit screen.
Actually you can get AAC files to play through iTunes using a Quicktime plugin.
At least you'll have a good excuse for the wife when she comes home early and see pr0n on the tv. "Honost honey. I don't know how it got there"

You are also forgetting that this is Slashdot and that 99% of the people here wouldn't get to use a backseat even if it did have one.
