Launching a distributed denial of service attack is illegal in the U.S. and in most European countries.

That's what I thought...what does Blue Security have to say in their defense?

...maybe they'll have to start using the same offshore ISPs as the spammers?

Most of those options remind me of the anecdote regarding George Washington's axe: Handle's been replaced thrice, the blade a couple of times, but it's still George's axe!

I don't think a COPY of yourself would give any kind of immortality to YOU...

mp3 encoding, even at higher bitrates, seems to cause weird changes to the way cymbals (mainly hi-hats) sound - which in turn makes the whole recording sound tinny.

I've noticed this is less prevalent with electronically produced cymbal sounds, though.

The thought of a single web-based logon for access to so many different entities kinda scares me... Especially once it spans across companies.

It's sometimes irritating to remember a number of different logons/passwords, and maybe I'm just paranoid, but I prefer the compartmentalization that separate logons brings.

Anyone remember when they used words for the first couple letters of a given phone number?

So going to web addresses from digit-based phone numbers would actually have a retro flair to it, after a fashion...

This is one of those things is basically an inevitability, waiting only for the proper tools to exist.

Reminds me of how a mechanic might listen to an engine, or part of it, to determine what's going on inside.
