  1. Re:Take back education on Chicago Teachers Rip 'Big Money Interest Groups' · · Score: 1

Ed reform is all about getting teacher money, period. McTeachers will cost much less, and they're on the way. I'm LOVIN' it!

  2. An Alternative Response on Carnegie Mellon Says Computers Breached · · Score: 1
This issue has arrisen periodically over the past several years. If you take a look at previos situations, commonalities can be discerned. However, it is unlikely that future implications are really that severe, and we should probably all just let this one go.

  3. Microsoft maybe not as funny as you think on Microsoft Expert Witness Stumbles · · Score: 3, Interesting
Microsoft has lost little in this whole process by "not holding its tongue." Say what you will about MS but the organization as a whole has done a good job of finding spokespeople (like the professor) who appear "respectable" -- and that's all they need.

The spin in Seattle on public radio was entirely positive onn this -- which was interesting.

  4. What about the XB54? on NASA Eyes Shuttle Replacements · · Score: 2, Interesting
This may be a bait and switch, but I have to say that it looks promising. I worked on the NASA/Boeing XB54 back in the day, and we had similar ciriticisms. But really; we had a delivery vehicle that took of f and landed on convential runways, delivered c argo at $75/lb (back in the day) and ran on clean burning methanol hybrids. Too bad it never was funded fully

    Give NASA a chance!

  5. Re:DCMA....Uhh...NO on Fighting Back Against EULAs · · Score: 1
    Well,

you bring up an interesting "idea", but I hate to inform you that the DCMA does not cover EULAs or their application thereof. Please refer to sections 57 and 59 if you have questions about this.

Far from "hurting" us, this is a tactic that can only garner power for the computer user.

  6. Amaron? on Amazon Makes a Profit · · Score: 1

Amazon has taken the life blood out of the independant bookseller trade: a trade that provided for families all over the country (world?) Now that wealth has been taken and put in the pocket of the smiling dwarf Bezos/Potemkin. What a joke! Can anyone say "Amaron.com"?
