This issue has arrisen periodically over the past several years. If you take a look at previos situations, commonalities can be discerned. However, it is unlikely that future implications are really that severe, and we should probably all just let this one go.
Microsoft has lost little in this whole process by "not holding its tongue." Say what you will about MS but the organization as a whole has done a good job of finding spokespeople (like the professor) who appear "respectable" -- and that's all they need.

But really; we had a delivery vehicle that took of f and landed on convential runways, delivered c argo at $75/lb (back in the day) and ran on clean burning methanol hybrids.
