We hope to make a program that allows the user sophisticated text - changing capabilities, one day we might even be able to, like, let them find specific items of text in it.. in later versions, perhaps we could even make the text stand out a bit more, possibly even slanty or with a stupid line underneath it, for titles and the like, maybe one day we might even be able to insert graphics into it, but i cant see why that would be useful. Later on we'll probably steal someone elses word processor and force everyone to use it, maybe even improve it a little. Though it seems a good idea that we package all 3 of these with our product.
But you got an ``off topic''. Maybe i'll hit the target with "ISP and Mozilla"... perhaps a bit of "Yup, that's what i been running on my debian box... good ol' loki", with a dash of "Imagine a beofwulf cluster of those", when seemingily not referring to anything.
The only reason i can think of as to why 'internet sessions' are shorter is because the ISPs are going broke and or becoming extremely unreliable and not really caring about their customers...
I think it is a nice sign of equality throughout the world, what surprise should it be that the country with the most citizens won? If China can somehow get its act together it can be a major world influence, because of its massive and massively expandable population. Youve probably heard all the news of their space programme et al., besides american universities came 2nd (MIT)and 5th (Standford), chinese (Shanghai) 1st and 4th (Tsinghua), there really isnt that much difference if you look at the scoresheets. Besides just because the govvernment isnt exactly uh... yea... I'm just saying i wouldnt have president Bush (who still enforces the death penalty, (though not to the extent of the chinese, in general) be my leader.
Sony announced through an e-mail that the Linux PS2 kits were available for pre-order. The kits should be shipped May 22nd. There's a FAQ and a order site
Response to sig: maybe you should change your sig once in a while or talk about "how you have a personal hatred of linux how you think open-source is a doomed community, how you prefer MS-Paint to the GIMP, and how you think Slashdot looks lamer than an Angelfire page, that hasnt been reworked in Perl so as to remove the goddamn adverts." Yes, i actually did that.
they also seem to have some primitive screenshots of this here. I mean really, what civilised person would have their desktop like this rather than this.
It gets a bit sick when 6 of about 27 thread starter posts (or thereabout) are either bitching about Katz grammer or about Katz in general, tho half of those were posted anonymous.
its nice to hear such insights... but a system becomes more complicated, many discreet flaws are also created. or some shit like that. (maybe someone wuth a degree in thermo could answer that?) I really doubt that windows will just die without a fight, you see, ESR [ or whatever his initials are... the fetchmail guy (you know who i am talking about - btw nice that is!) ] uou have missed out one fundamental factor, as a company, in microsoft, there are people capable of thinking, so usually when there is a problem, the company doesnt die quite as fast as dual boot Windows does on a 500MHz K6-2 with 128 meg'o'RAM.
basically i think microsoft will just reprice it or MAKE IT SUITABLE for cheaper computers, if that includes underhanded tactics, like bribery, black mail, the use of hundreds of XP zombies (read the EULA) attacking linux | BSD related websites. whatever.
You see, even Microsoft run UNIX. servers of course (desktops too probably).
it does... see the long string of replies above that say so. I also have personally noticed that it does in all cases i have ever used it in, the gui is also much better thoughtout and the package also provides many features msoffice lacks.
all microsoft phones use a different method of encoding their calls only microsoft phones can understand, they also open up another funny way of networking to each other they dont tell you about but is very integrated and at any time may accidentaly also broadcast the call to microsoft.

No, but i have wondered why we dont replace most of the staff with a cron task... though possibly we might need some robotics to do the lifting work.

Half of the complaint goes extensively through Java's advantages over .NET, and mentions that little poll on ZD Net... or whatever
