My side is that those who benefited most from the policies that resulted in the huge government debt should play a proportional role in paying off that debt.
Then why have government redistribution? Just have people pay for what they use in a market system.

Well, lets see, the winner of the last Presidential election started us on the path of universal health care, and through that has caused businesses to curl up in fear and stop hiring. That's effected everyone's lives pretty strongly.
The one before that has gotten us into several badly defined wars, and bailed out banks which should have died due to their bad business policy. Know anyone who went to the wars or has had problems with their mortgage?
The one before that showed that Feminism was just another special interest group.

Once you're assigned to the court, you will then be put through a process called voir dire. In this process, the lawyers for both sides will ask you questions to see if they think you are sufficiently impartial to be on the jury.
So, how bad of a defense lawyer does that church have?
You always get burnt like this once with elections. Then you learn you need to check out your candidate's political history.
What bills they've created or co-authored. How they've voted in the past. Where they're getting the bulk of their campaign contributions. etc.
It still burns. You never get over the Candidate standing up there, saying *exactly* how to fix things and make things better. Then doing none of it once they get into office.
I think the man is a psychopath and will happily watch society burn as long as it doesn't involve 'raising taxes'.

People are incredibly ignorants about taxs, the government, and the realities of society. The republicans are using the ignorance to generate fear and hate. So anything anyone says otherwise is 'part of the problem'.
That's a comfortable position. "You are all ignorant. And I won't lift a finger to change that. If you argue with me, you're generating fear and hate."
Right now we are in a country that when republicans come up with something, and Obama likes it and says he will sign it, the republicans sponsoring the bill back out.

Here's an idea... what if people in the US are actually worried about the budget? And it's not a ploy, trick, attack, dodge, smokescreen, or trial balloon. They are honestly worried about this.
Going further into debt, not showing any interest in reducing spending, AND increasing taxes. This is going to make people angry. Honestly angry.
It's hard to tell if the information will blow up in your face if you release it to the general public. So, just stamp it "Secret" and you're in the clear.
