Just got a reply from blizzard support regarding my query about not being able to register for a little while. In their scripted reply this little bit caught my eye
"Also, we are currently analyzing the possibility of allowing users to move their character(s) to less populated servers. We do not have an estimated time of when we will be able to provide such a solution, but we would like to emphasize that we will try to provide this solution as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this, and we will be doing everything we can to ensure that your game experience in Azeroth is enjoyable, reliable, and fair."
This sounds like a step in the right direction to me, as since I finally made it through registration, have been having no problems playing on a low pop server.
And the answer is "We were talking about the web site that has the power to make a game sell another 10000+ copies just because they said it was good. That was what we were talking about. The website that over half our target audience takes as gospel."
Not to say the that the pull from shelves is anything to do with Penny Arcade, but if a Blizzard Executive dismissed PA as having no influence, they would be decidedly wrong.
Damn freakin right.
Syndicate was just so freakin fun... oh the vehicles... they just drove so right.
Damn, now I'm going to have to go and find where I can play that agiain.
Even better, the blurb says something about disabling Active Scripts. Instead of disabling, I set it to prompt. Funny thing is now, all slash dot pages keep asking me if I want to run these scripts. If Active Scripts are so evil, why is Slashdot, the bastion of all that is anti-evil, using them?
Co-op games are what I have been waiting for for the last 5 years of my life. Rainbow 6 and the other FPS games are good in co-op mode, but I don't think Co-op has been fully explored by the gaming industry.
Where is Zelda co-op mode? Maybe it's out there and I haven't been bothered finding it, but I think there are many Genre's that could be developed into co-op that still haven't been. Co-op in PC games like RTS's would be awesome. But also consol games, when your playing games casualy with mates, the only choices you have are blinking racing games or fighters. I have had countless times sitting round with mates watching them play Final Fantasy series, thinking wouldn't it be cool if we were both involved.
Damn it... bring on the co-op revolution.
Check out the two websites in question: Voyager and the Virgin thingy
Doesn't the Global flyer look pretty much like the Voyager with a jet engine stuck on top?

Smoke Cracking mods.
The paragraph about B&W is the second paragraph on the second page of the article. And yeah... I kinda read it.
Check out the message from the founder. Has nothing to do with Mike Myers, and probably won't for sometime if I catch their drift right.
