Learning computational biology/chemistry has never been easier,
This may give you a limited working knowledge, but only formal education and real professional experience will provide you the depth of knowledge to become a competent bioinformatics programmer (or chem or physics or whatever.) Learning computational biology is not easy. People with formal education in biology can become ok to decent programmers. But it very rarely works the other way around. I have worked in life sciences for 15 years, the last 5 in bioinformatics and I have seen it time and again.
What does that site do? All I see is a drop down box where I can choose a US state, several empty ones without captions and one which says "null"...
Pick a city, it gives you a list of radio stations in that city. You can then pick a time and it will tell you the song and artist playing at that time. It also provides a way to jump to amazon or ebay to find and buy the cd if you want. Looks to be add free so I would guess they must get referal payments or something.
$tv_show? What are you talking about? Never heard of it. I don't have a tv, haven't owned one since $date. You should get rid of yours and spend more time on $activity[0], $activity[1], and $activity[2].
We demonize Clear Channel as this media goliath that can't be hurt or tamed by anything,
I can't speak for everyone but I think of the main reasons people dislike Clear Channel is because they sit very far on the right side of the fence. Not to mention their strong conservative Christian views on most matters.
Why must every minutia related to Microsoft always be front page material for slashdot?

Would it be possible for 1 user to run windows, while the other user runs linux?
You could use VMWare. But you'd probably be better off running Windows on top of Linux to accomplish this.
The user of the windows box and the admin trying to fix it working together as one. I see it everyday.

Isn't this a dupe? I am sure I read about this before on Slashdot. Can anyone find the post?

According to their commercials they can do damn near anything and it would probably be cheaper.
What part about memorizing one line of the song and googling it is difficult?
Some people listen to music without lyrics.

Dang! I knew there was a reason that nobody else around here is studying this stuff!!
Yeah, those emails you get about getting degrees by mail are all scams. Take it from me. I spent $79,000 to get 137 PhDs and I still can't get a job.
The slashdot crew was installing the new Mandrake on all their servers at once.
People don't change the 's' in Microsoft to '$' for any old reason, now do they?
I send you this packet in order to have your advice.
See you later. Thanks.

I'd say about as quickly as my cable has been hacked to tamper with the commercials and programming I watch.

I know, they should be dealing with CompuGlobalHyperMeganet. They use the good butter for pencil holders.

Another project where the creators don't event know how to pronounce the name of the project? I run into this all the time.
Shouldn't you be hacking your line-ux box or something?
It's a good thing I filed my taxes last year before this law went into affect.
