No foundations that I know of, but there is an initiative. Of course OSI promotes open source, and the FSF promotes Free Software and they do have disagreements on some levels...
Because you can have like 10 movies open at a time all playing smoothly! No really you can! I've seen it. Now why this would be a selling point... It also does boot REALLY fast.
Is OpenStep still even being developed? Can you buy a modern version of OpenStep. I ran a lot of GNUstep apps for a while and it was pretty good, but I don't see anyone selling OpenStep for x86 anytime soon.

I don't know that its possible to find a player that's comparable. Does anyone know of any other player without a screen? My CD Player displays the track number at least.
You agree that if you modify and distribute a binary you have to distribute the modified sources. If you don't agree to that, you don't get to distribute your new binaries. Just cause the original author didn't shake hands or sign it with you there doesn't mean it wasn't an agreement.
Reader 7 is fast. Give it a shot.

It has nothing to do with decoding and everything to do with scheduling. Go download a copy of R5, stick some MPEGs on it, and do it. It does work.

. I still managed to find one on launch day though. Can screen readers and the ilk handle this stuff? Also doesn't it kinda give a big FU to my userContent.css font settings?
I know all those facts. What I am saying is that they are not continuing to develop OpenStep x86 NOW, for modern machines with modernized software.

Not necessarily, you could have just been using existing glyphs in a new alphabet.
