    I love the way he says he designed the hardware autodetection. He just made a list of al the steps you do to setup a linux install's hardware and automated it and threw in some kudzu. Genius.

    I already do this with my iBook. Its pretty creepy running XP remotely in full screen.

    Why did my comment get deleted?
    The only time we ever delete comments is if the comment contains malformed HTML that is somehow causing Slashdot to fail to display properly. Comments are not deleted on the basis of content. At this point, however, it shouldn't be a big worry. The comment engine is reasonably bulletproof, and it's pretty tough to post a comment that breaks Netscape.

    If you posted a comment and you don't see it now, it may have been moderated down below your threshold (see below). If you set your threshold to -1, you should be able to see it again.

    The idea is for example, viewing a picture would use the same user interface as listening to a music source.

    Hmm the same interface for every app, where have we seen that before?

    Yeah but then Muad'Dib became the emperor. And his children were really big worms. Like horendously big. I think the two stories start to diverge a bit after the first couple of Dune books. Robert Jordan OTOH obviously ripped off Dune. (Just in case: That last sentence was a joke. No rabid Robert Jordan fans mod me down please?)
