Ditto. My girlfriend has justy received one of these. Her 10000 word assignment was on a floppy. I told her she should have kept a backup (why do people ask a geek's advice and then do the opposite?), but she ignored me and the University computer she tried to use to print it off ate the disk.
Made the choice for a Birthday present (her birthday is annoyingly close to Christmas) very easy indeed.
the best way to extract the flavor is to use HOT water
The alkaloids that produce the bitter taste dissolve in water at just above 80 degrees (~144F), so the best approach is to use water that's cooler than you would expect. Still hot, but not HOT.
Why not read the HardwareSections of some of the projects? A GHz processor should do timeshifting - Freevo lists 400MHz as minimum for operation (not including simultaneous enc/dec for timeshifting), and I seem to recall 1GHz being bandied about as recommended for that.
3. They're walking a fine line. I'm setting up a Mini-ITX/Hauppage 350 PVR with MythTV as a front-end. It looks cool, and it'll have a lot more features (like: burn a DVD as well as the normal PVR stuff:-) If I can do it, a lot of others can too...
Yeah, like me;) If you have any pointers/ideas, then I'd be glad to hear them. I was leaning towards Freevo myself.
Great, now what if I'm a manual labourer suffering from vibratin white finger, or just one of the many people afflicted with poor circulation in the fingers? No/weak pulse and room-temperature fingers.
Except of course that "a pint's a pound the world around" refers to the fact that a pint WEIGHS a pound, not costs a pound. There are 8 pints in a gallon.
While the BBC may have been impartial in the past, legislation in the works will give the police powers to shut them down/take them over in the event of "an emergency". Trouble is, THEY get to decide what an emergency is.
OK, so he was a bit weird, but he put the ring saga into perspective. Men, Elves and other races view the rise of Sauron as a huge disaster (and for them it is), but Tom and his Goldberry will always be. Sauron has no hope of ever having dominion over them. He views the One Ring as a mere trinket, and wonders what all the fuss is about.
The question still remains, though, how exactly is Pippin (? - could be Merry, can't remember right now) going to kill the Witch King without the magic toothpick from the barrows?
Thats how ultra high speed CD drives have been working for years. You can only use them one at a time though - thats why the gubment have suppressed their existance (along with all the documents pertaining to the conspiracy that resulted in Salt and Vinegar crisps (chips) changing to green packets).
I thought exactly the same thing.
Also, his "observations" that the first couple of runs were faster. Ooh, do you think that might be because the RAM is still cold, and is running more efficiently? He also "observes" that the effect is lessened for higher clock speeds. Ooh, the faster it goes, the faster it heats up. My word, the profundity of it all!
That's like saying the postman is responsible for all the junk mail I get because he delivers it, or my phone company is to blame when I get "market researchers" calling me.
The relays (I hope) do not read the e-mail. Its not their responsibility to cull spam.

Except "smeg" is not a made-up word, its an abbreviation of smegma
Don't say I didn't warn you.

Of course, this means that ANY language, high level or not, can be used, provided that you have the appropriate compiler.
Most compilers are BASIC compilers, but some, such as JAL are more Pascal/C-like.
Of course you're right - I don't know what I was smoking this morning.
Nope - he loses the use of one arm, but it's still attached when he goes bye-bye in the molten metal.

The reason it failed was because he was shortly thereafter found dead in his home.
Is that a millionth of a normal payment?
64MB is plenty to run X. As long as you don't run KDE or Gnome, that is.
Yes, saying "Isn't it ironic" would ne ironic in that situation, but only if you KNEW that it was ironic for that reason.
Write to your MP.

Just how is the Witch King going to get poked with a magical sword if Bombadil never gave them to the Hobbits?

Burden of proof is still on the prosecution. If they can't prove he WASN'T hacked, then he walks off scott free. Its called reasonable doubt.

He could buy archival quality paper. Designed to last.
Hair's breadths are an actual bona fide measurement. Equivalent to 1/16 of an inch, IIRC
That being said, with this particular model, how do I shift-click-drag?
Yeah, microwave radiation and magnetic fields will do wonders for your video store.
