    Agreed. Porthole is a step in the right direction, but its pretty buggy still.

    Because it's only ever worked about half the time. The other times, it does weird things like finalize a blank DVD-R without writing any of the data I told it to.

    I much prefer gcombust.. It's similar to Buckley's cough syrup. It's ugly as sin, but it works every time.

    Except about the k3b, I can't stand to use it in Linux, I can't imagine why anyone would want to in Windows.

    I usually take payment in food and beer. It's amazing how eager someone is willing to cook you a meal or buy you a pizza just for getting BonziBuddy off their computer.

    Same here, and it amazes me how many people offer beer as payment. How many people would offer beer to a mechanic before he fixes their brakes on their car before and while he does the work?

    I like Star Trek a lot.. Except "Enterprise", I could never get into it. It seems too much like Voyager meets Days of our Lives.

    If you don't use IE either, set it to its most paranoid security setting, and add windowsupdate.microsoft.com to the trusted sites.

    I prefer the backup my vmware directory and let IE eat itself a new one method myself though.

    Windows Media Player is also an infection vector for spyware, especially WMVs.

    Or MSN, kazaa, edonkey/emule, outlook, etc..

    But considering ISTbar is malware for IE, does it even affect Firefox at all?

    .. where he has no frinds, contacts, or work history.

    You and the rest of the people who get caught up in blaming their circumstances rather than examining their options don't get any sympathy from me. I moved 2,000 kilometers from home after school to find decent work. By far the best thing I got out it was finding new friends, contacts and actually having a job history in my field.
