MMORPG's get hacked all the time. Its happened a number of times on mir, hell even WEMADE Entertainment left the server software on their public ftp for weeks while a number of coders downloaded it to find new ways into it. I think i even submitted a story about that, and i think it would have been a bit more.. interesting..
..Most people i know don't spend their lives on the computer downloading.. It takes maybe 20-30 minutes to download everything they want, then they go burn it and do whatever.. a few days later they do it if they need more.. Its not some massive constant event.. Not to mention most people sharing are doing it on home DSL connections.. my upstream is 25k:( It takes alot of time to download crap but its not going as fast.. I don't see this being a true reason for bandwidth loads
Might i add i believe its P2P sharing and gaming that made people want DSL..
nice work of fiction, but after our IRCd servers were DoS'd attacked, hacked, and violated, not anyone, police or the FBI really cared. The firewall logs took 92MB. You smell of... bull.
This was actually sorta cool when i read it in this story.. It was interesting to see her portscan then jump into the server.. The chick sittin next to me wasnt aware of anything about it because she doesnt use linux, but i was like "OI!!! Thats real! look look!!! SSH!!! LOOK!!".. then a few people looked at me weird:s
whats always bugged me is for two years PDA's were faster then my P200 box that i used and only used.. Even though i've built a better one now, should i be afraid one day we are going to have 3GHz PDA's? lol
They messed up everything. They fecked up the story line. Sure, it was cool to see them kick ass all the time, but if you remember the first movie, it was nothing like this one.. I hope the third one can make up for the loss i felt from this one.
they need to filter out all these websites that are created like "http://www.searchingspammers.com/download_windows _updates.php" and such like that.. very annoying when you need information and all u get is fake websites.. blogs havent bugged me much at all.
What about personal sites that may seem like blogs? example.. mine.. I have a blog but then again later on i plan for some more content and such.. hopefully it doesnt remove my site from the main index.. or will at least return it once the site becomes useful.
Not to knock it, i've always actually liked OS/2 even though i never got to play with Warp 4 but its not really an operating system for the average guy.. It was before its time but now it is past its time..
might be a nice little OS for old computers but we have linux for that.. dunno what these ppl are trying to do..

Now i use two email addresses, one for things like MSN and registering to forums and websites that goto a drop box and then my main address that i only give out to people these days.. its useful, even behind the current spam filters we have on the mail server it gets 8-10 spams a day.
my quest to building a starship is almost complete! Actually i do believe it would rock to be able to control the house using voice commands.. as long as you didnt say "kill me"......

Totally agree, it just didnt 'do it' for me like the first one did.
