Way too much. I'm fine waiting for the blu ray or UHD, which is far better quality than streaming anyways. For absolutely critical movies (e.g. Star Wars) I'll see it in a theater anyways.
Side rant: These fucking ads at the top of Slashdot is the worst fucking thing ever. It keeps flickering as I scroll and covering up the content. Get fucking rid of these, you asshats.
Yeah, and $700 is dirt cheap for this consider I just spent $640 on a 1080 and the Titan is $1200. Besides, the PS4 Pro isnt real 4k. The extra fre hundres is totally worth it, and the PC is used for many other things, for me anyways. My overclocked 6700k is used for software development, video processing, and music recording.
I currently run a geforce 1080 overclocked a bit with my 1920x1200 monitor. I'm in the market for the new HDR 4k monitors coming out this year. Anyways, In Grand Theft Auto 5, I have all the settings at mostly ultra setting. For the most part, I get a solid 60fps, but here and there a bit of frame drop, but not that bad. I will be absolutely trading up to the 1080ti once it comes out, and those monitors are out.
I hear you. But I was seriously considering getting a PS4 Pro until I realized that theres no UHD player, and it's not real 4k--its upconverted. So you figure $400-$600 for the PS4 and accessories, but the graphic capability can not in any sense come close to the real 4k amazing graphics that this card is capable of. So, I decided to go back to PC for gaming, and do not regret it.
It definitely feels like things are slower these days
Eh, I dont know about that. I remember browsing the web back in 1998. You'd be online all night, and see 3 girls.
I've switched brands a few times over the years. My 6 year old overclocked system with an HD 5770 finally crapped out, and I looked at the latest offerings from both companies. The reviews and benchmarks were decidedly in Nvidia's favor. The pascal based cards cannot be touched right now. I went with an eVGA Geforce 1080, and really like it. I'm running QHD right now, and overclocked the card to 2Ghz with no temp issues at all. DOOM4, Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat XL, and GTA5 look amazing with the setting on ultra while gettign 60fps minimum. So, I am not regretting this at all right now. Granted, I dropped $640 on this lol.
Football is miserable now because they skip out to a commercial every possible second they can. Touchdown -> Commercial -> Kickoff --> Commercial --> Start next drive. Forget it.
TV shows are bad too. I've been ripping my favorite shows to MKV files, and the folder details show the the lengths. An older 30 minute show like family guy in season 1 is 22-24min. An episode of big bang theory season 9? Freakin 18-20 minutes! MacGyver season 1? 48 minutes. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D? 41-43 MINUTES!
Not spamming or anything, but as a hobby I built something similar and started on it before amazon had this. Its called myKhee and we are focused on small home projects only. There is an expedited verification, and is geared towards amateurs. Home owners post quick projects, and people find them quickly on a map to complete them for quick cash. The idea is let people make quick cash by finding things they think they can do close by, and the home owners gets it done quickly.
I think this is a better model than amazon's because there's minimal red tape, projects can be found quickly and easily, and it's totally free.
Ya, plus the commercial use. Consider companies like homeseer using it as a base for their home automation controllers. I bet they place many orders for PIs.
Some people have not upgraded their receiver to one that does hdmi. I connect devices to the tv via hdmi for video, but still use optical for audio to the receiver.

Better headline: All users are now installing youtube ad block
No, it will lead to browser extensions being created to disable this crap
my company used webex for training which does all of this
Yup. I usually enjoy the "100 things I learned about.." threads.
Did they also give ya the subscribe to the newsletter popup for the ultimate trifecta?
I've been ripping all my (legally purchased) DVDs and Blu-rays to MKV files. I completely filled up twp 6tb drives. And I'm not even close to done.
I wonder why they need to dismantle the old one? Why not keep it covered in case something happens to the shell of this new structure?

Have you tried Vivaldi?

If that is true, then why are they doing streaming movies? Your argument fails.
How bout he explain why there is no Ultra HD blu ray drive in this thing? And how the $300 xbone s has one?
Your shop sells customer email lists? What is your company, so I know to never purchase from you?

Can you point me to a resource to help setting that up??
That is a nice feature. My older 50" samsung plasma does not have optical pass through. I would certainly use that.

I finally have a shot at love
