I heard NPR explain this once. Apparently, it is common practice to use the formal President Obama in the first reference of his name, and subsequently to refer to him as Mr. Obama. This is the case with all presidents at least according to NPRs policy.

We just transitioned our visiting nurses to Blackberrys with a Service from USA Mobility called Page Sync (http://www.usamobility.com/PAGESYNC/)
It has a small app that displays the "page" on the BB screen which must be acknowledged, and comes with the old school Motorola pager tone. I took the tone, doubled the length to 24 seconds and increased the volume using MP3Gain. On a blackberry as best I can tell you can only set a SMS/Email to ring three times, so 3 X 24 seconds means the thing screams like a banshee for at least a minute solid. This service allows us to keep the pager number which has the benefit of our visiting nurses not having to give their phone numbers to patients and families (who often call months after being discharged or who leave urgent calls on nurses voice mail when they should be calling 911 or our dispatch). only downside is the page is sent via email and is subject to RIM availability and the same signal reliance of the carriers mobile network.
For some reason we flew into chicago, a 3 hour drive home. CowboyNeal and I were both on the verge of passing out, hallucinating with flu, singing at the top of our lungs just to say conscious. That drive back to West Michigan from Chicago is hell. It's fine until you near the Michigan/Indian border and then it's all down hill from there. My things is having all four windows down, middle of winter, dead of night...it's cold, but I'm awake....the wife doesn't like it so much though, she might prefer it to my singing.
Collaborate with your classmates (if such is allowed by class/university rules) online. Starting a class blog, or Yahoo! group can help keep you and your classmates up-to-date, and provide a good forum for "what the heck was the prof saying?" type of questions.
I've had success this past semester using seedwiki.com
a free wiki to collaborate on a research paper
