Is there any specific reason that the Vatican would pick HP over other candidates? I'm sure that they have a good web team, but that isn't their primary occupation... Why not pick a company that has done this kind of thing before? (Or, alternatively, has HP done this before?) Just curious...
I may be wrong, but isn't this some form of "unreasonable search and seizure"? I don't think that any music company should be allowed to practice vigilante justice, no matter how many of their copyrighted works are in jeopardy - especially if it violates my fourth amendment rights.
I'm confused...is Jesse Helms fighting for or against the webcasters? From the/. post, I thought it was on behalf of them, but the article seems to say the opposite:
"Sen. Jesse Helms, a North Carolina Republican, on Thursday night blocked legislation designed to ease the financial impact on small Webcasters."
Does someone "in the know" want to clarify? Please?
My University has vanished! I found a map of Champaign, IL (I go to the U of I there...) ca. 1869 (2 years after the University was supposedly founded) and there's nothing there! The map shows farmland where all of the University buildings are! So, the question is, did the U of I really exist then, or are they just pulling my leg? I want answers!
I'm waiting for this tech to be married with a video phone...as long as it's of decent quality. I'm sure that a streaming holographic projection is going to require some heavy bandwidth...
Of course, what everyone will be using the new holophone for will be much akin to some posts that have been written already...holophone sex. But then again, I'm sure some of the employees of these facilities aren't going to be as happy about that...hmm.
With my luck, it won't work with my GeForce 4...
Microsoft just wants to have personal information on all of the *nix users...they have to know who to attempt to convert. This is an important demographic that MS has yet to exploit! They couldn't let that happen...
All that Columbia really needs to do is set up a site that talks about using Beowulf Clusters for profit...maybe add some kind of messageboard that lets everyone think that they've posted before anyone else...and wait for their own personal/. effect. They may want to warn their network technicians first...unless their study is actually on the effect/. has on the people who have to deal with the aftermath...
I'm just a bit curious as to how much it COSTS to build a castle out of LEGOs... I remember when I used to play with LEGOs, (like 4 years ago...I'm not that old ^_^) I had a hard time scraping enough money together to build a decent castle (for the little LEGO people, that is...) The site is/.ed, so I can't see if it says there - does anyone have figures as to how much the Church of LEGO cost?

Who wants to start the random speculation as to what this one will be about? Or does someone know? I'm a bit curious, personally...
