There have been reports on how people in more religious countries are starting to use the Internet to hunt down and threaten queer individuals back into the fold.
Some individuals have this innate need to "correct" perceived wrongs. Now their reach goes beyond their own neighbourhood.
Just noticed that my new point and shoot includes its own serial number in there, which I kinda liked at first, since it might help me locate it should it end up in someone else's hands without my consent!
Though it does make all my snapshots totally traceable.
Maybe they're looking for engineers with tribalistic tendencies, who may go with the flow if they get the opportunity to cause some damage (or instill some fear) onto whomever they're not quite fond of.
reminds me of the re-spawn times on Return to Castle Wolfenstein; it was a totally different game to play, since people would be more careful with their (virtual) lives.
I think it would be (more) interesting if you could also order a set where the pieces are whatever size you want,..., so that if you want to *sorta* recreate the mona lisa, but on a wall surface that's 4 feet wide by 5 feet tall; those (larger) pieces will be much easier to apply/fix to a wall, than a bunch of printed pages of paper.
'Apparently, the alien-seeking software had been running since Niesluchowski was hired nearly 10 years ago. "Basically our processors were hooked up and running 24 hours a day, 12 months a year, every day of the school year," Birdwell said.'
I don't think computers ever saved anyone "work"; we're able to do so much more and/or do it faster, but we're then expected to do that much more, and/or do it that much faster, and often cannot ever conceive of "going back".

That's an interesting point, the one about network connections taking their toll; one sure way to make my Mac unresponsive is to pull the plug while I'm trying to browse a network share!
When I used to work out three times a week with mostly weight lifting and cables, with only 20 minutes of cardio at first to warm up and get the blood flowing, though for no more than 1.5 hours total each session, I would have cravings for proper/healthy-ish food, and would find junk food appalling; basically eating fast food made me feel bad!
some years ago, my backpack's zipper failed and thus unloaded my 15" iBook down a whole flight of stairs; my heart stopped as I watched it bounce up and down every couple of steps (on its edges), all the way to the ground floor!
Once I unbent the hook that would normally lock it when closed, it worked just like new!
I had a look at some solutions last year, and ran into one hell of a road block; most solutions I had a look at presume that all the information you're indexing should be searchable and/or available to anyone that can reach your search tool's client.
Has anyone had experience with something that will search the indexes for items based on your credentials? (Meaning that if you're not in accounting you can't get results for that data set)
You could put that hosts file on your proxy host.

If my calculations are correct it will turn out to be a jet engine from a passenger airline plane...
Just ask Frank (the rabbit).
I'm having trouble finding what I think is the essential stat: (battery life is 15 minutes, but) what is the wifi range?

Same thing happens with retail theft.

I believe that [Command-Option-Esc] will get you a "kill task" dialog most of the time, even when a program has taken the Mac hostage in full-screen.
btw, I memorize passwords related to sites that involve money or sensitive personal date, and depend on the OS X keychain for the rest.
Other than that I never ever save my email password anywhere, since it's the "Forgot Password" gateway from hell.
What's wrong with depending on OS X's keychain?
Dang! It's the third time they try to ship my package and miss; I've had enough... And so much for the "confidential" packaging!

So what you're saying is that exercising increases your libido?
I hereby declare that I'm willing to do exactly this for half that price!
Any takers?
Hello?!
I remember when I bought my first iPod there was a form I could fill and send in to get the "blank media" tax refunded.
This was some years ago so I don't know if it still works that way.

+1 Very Interesting
Yes please! Pretty please?!
