    A better (but still flawed) example would be: suppose that you give your old, run-down Mustang to a poor college student. He puts a lot of hours in it and shapes it into a true hotrod. What would you think of him selling it for a decent figure?

    Too bad I can't get a copy of that hotrod's source code and compile my own, right?

    Most server boards lack AGP and have multiple 64-bit PCI slots. Also, i've never seen an AGP riser.

    Just because he won't be incriminated in a court-martial doesn't mean that the threat of court-martialing him won't drive him to action.

    My understanding is that obeying an unjust order can lead an officer to court martial. Sometimes there is no good way out of a bad situation.

    Actually, CD sales dropped, then Napster happened and Cd sales came back up

    After that, Napster got shut down and CD sales dropped again.

    Correlation may not be causation, but this sorrelation is fairly suapicious

    I like to think that all the angry letters from fans (mine included) had something to do with this. Oh, and yes, Second Impact is Japanese only - i'm learning the language, and anime is a decent gauge of progress

    Speaking of character development, I just want to say that Shinji is the only protagonist that i actually want to strangle.

    Also, am I the only one who found the english language visual edits jarring and disruptive? It was enough to make me forsake the rest of the DVD series and go buy the Second impact box set from Gainax

    Last I heard, they needed multiple titles (i think 6) from third parties or else 2 from them in order to profit. Seeing as how they spent so much effort forcing 3 game bundles, the number may be 3, or else they may have seen the futility of forcing a 6 game bundle when they had 20 total.

    Sony already dropped their prices - before launch, the price was going to be something like $400. There was some sort of stink at a press conference over this and the head guy there (may have been the CEO) dropped the price by $100 on the spot

    Already here. Whenever my power goes out, my VCR flashes --:-- for a couple minutes before picking up some time signal off of broadcast TV.

    Just for the dense (and Solaris-ignorant), this basically means that /tmp is backed by ram. Full /tmp = no ram. No ram = no connections.
