    Mozilla might support ActiveX soon see: http://www.iol.ie/%7Elocka/mozilla/mozilla.htm#plu gin_impl Of course this is a seperate project independent of mozilla.org. It will probably be available as an _optional_ plugin.

    I'm all for more drilling and taking advantage of cool technology but that doesn't mean we should dump barrels of oil in the sea...you know there's something called balance and moderation. That means it's a good idea to turn the light off if you're not using it but I don't have the arrogance to try to get the government to force you if you don't care.

    If it's so great then why don't you go and live there? As far as I'm concerned I'm happy where I live with clean running water, choice of DSL or cable modem, full service gas stations, etc etc

    broadband internet also uses much more energy than regular bandwith. Here's the deal: we'll tax SUV's plus broadband internet connection (or any connections left all the time 24/7) oh I can hear it coming "I don't have an SUV but don't you lay a finger on my internet!" Figures

    I'm not crazy about Microsoft but I want them to be defeated by legitimate means-not by some stupid judge who doesn't even know how to use a computer who thinks he can just break a company in pieces. There's no precedent for that and it made the entire case against Microsoft look like a joke. It actually made MS look like the poor victim because let's face it, compared to the US federal government even Microsoft looks puny.

    most of the people who are against these foods are the same idiots that advocate all these 100% natural herbs that are untested, unproven and may have dangerous side effects. For example St John's wort is a joke and ephedra has been linked to several deaths. So what if it's 100% natural? Poison ivy and toadstools are also natural. Plus they don't tell you that organic vegetables are grown in feces. Can someone say E coli (100% natural too)? Hope everything was sterilized properly

    you're assuming that open sourcing is some magical process that instantly turns crap to gold. That's not true because there's a lot of open source crap out there and there's a lot of good stuff that is very proprietary.

    free software has advanced in some areas but I have yet to see a GPL game (or any open source licensed game) that rivals even commercial games from 5 years ago let alone today's games. So unless you're satisfied with pingus, you're going to have to reboot to Windows for games for a very long time.
