No. They said they could/were going to, but haven't (The iPhone developer TOS don't permit 3rd party virtual machines). The iPhone ARM processor actually supports native java bytecode execution. Hopefully, Apple will offer an iPhone with android on it (maybe dual boot?). That would easily double or triple their sales.

We all know that most routers use Linux, usually an old kernel that won't/can't be upgraded. I'm wondering if they are intentionally exploiting a bug in the linux TCP/IP stack to cause crashes/instability/etc. With MS trying to get in on the phone/embedded device market, they could license NT/IIS for router usage and make some serious cash.

Not yet, but it will. The Cocoa/Linux Integration Framework (CLIF) is a project (currently in alpha) based on GNUStep, but with a goal of source *and* binary compatability with OS X/Cocoa. There's a lot of work and some kernel modules may be needed, but we're optimistic at the current progress.

Gimp should be rewritten to use OpenStep/Cocoa/GNUStep rather than GTK. Cocoa has very good color space facilities builtin and doesn't look like ass (the 2 biggest problems with gimp!). OS X and GNUStep are making huge inroads. Meanwhile, Photoshop on OS X is poorly integrated and a 64-bit version won't be available for 3-4 years. And a linux version may never be released (and even if it is, it won't be FREE!).
