    Please, Win95 on a 386 was fine and 16mb was only for the rich people, the rest of us had to get by with 8 at that stage!

    It is. If you look out to sea around Newcastle or along parts of the Queensland coast, all you'll see are ships everywhere waiting in a queue to load with coal for overseas.

    in the timezone about 1995-1996 linux had better drivers and more drivers than windows 95..

    So a 3 year old OS had more drivers than a 3 month old OS, big surprise there. Newsflash, at that stage, DOS had more drivers than Win95.

    My HP printer "just works" on the Linux devices. On Windows, the driver is bundled with a 150 MB download.

    It's HP, they'll find a way to bundle a 150 MB download with anything.
