While I understand a share this guys interest in blowing things up, it is from a mind like this that the truly great weapons come from. I'm sure a young Openhiemer(sp?) would have had a web page like this.
My bad. I did indeed misread the cash and non-cash distribution items. Still like you said, who chooses who they give the money to. And whose to say there are not just giving the money back to themselves? I mean they are giving the money to music orginazations, and what are those people going to do with the money, BUY CDS. At least some of that is going to roll right back to 'em. It's garbage, they should have to send checks to every claiment, no matter how small (the check not the claiment)
The total amount alotted for disbursement (sp?) is 75 millon and if the total per claim is less than $5, they don't have to send out cash, just product. So if more than 15 millon claims are filed (likely) then some non-profit is just going to get a bunch of left over Moby cd's, I doubt that any cash will every even change hands. Read the settlement, its a hoot.
I think alot of people are missing where this will help out alot. Java servers. Java systems under high loads benefit alot from multi-threading, and this can only help.
You realize private corporations do a much better job than the post office, right? I mean really, who uses the USPS to ship packages anymore? Why not? Because compared to UPS and FedEx, they suck. If either of those two were allowed to ship regular mail, they would do a better job, at lower rates, and be profitable. Instead, we are stuck with the USPS.
Is this really new? A Marta station here in Atlanta has had an ad like this for Dasani water since Jan. 2001, I though it was cool the first 3 times I saw it, now it's just annoying.

Clear channel has 7 stations in the Atlanta area>
If you don't want to listen to country or rap, you have to listen to Clear Channel.
It is my understanding that they also have a hand in making sure new stations do not get licensed.

25 Small Permanent Magnet DC motors to be used as generators - at around 1000 rpm the generator should be capable of supplying 7.5 Volts and 1Amp to at least two batteries being charged in parallel: $50 each - total $1250
Who can pedal at 1000 RPM?
Might I suggest mineral oil. It's non-conductive, not that expensive, and doesn't have the wonderful smell of a motor oil. I have actually seen a whole motherboard immersed in the stuff before.
It's kinda like working for Apple, minus the personal humiliation by Steve Jobs.
I swear everything is about sex with you, $$$$$exyGal ;)
Am I the only one who saw TRIPLE E enlargements, and didn't think at all about electrons?
I like how he has it sitting right next to the radiator for good cooling!

Completely offtopic, but the last company I worked for the CTO called himself "The Wizard", said that on his business cards and everything.

Actually, I think Crocodile Dundee held the title for a short period of time as well.

Doesn't this sound like a job for the EFF to defend these people?
I hate to admit it, but I have a TV with a UHF tuner in it, in my living room. It's from 1984.
