    but on a more serious note, the music i listen to most ends in .it, .s3m, .mod, .xm and the likes
    aka. mod music, consult your local search engine for best results. there are a few mod archive/download/competition sites around

    they also look pretty when you play them in players such as openCubic

    but the again... mod authors make the music free anyways (and sometimes for competition), what the hell is the fun in downloading free music!

    hmm i do enjoy this, but i recall (and.. still use) some dos ansi drawing programs / mod players

    and some of those change the console font to make some really nice looking guis, i would like to see somthing like that for this.

    try consulting your local search engine for 'xbin' and add a slice of 'editor/viewer' for your own enjoyment

    everything is art. and everything is not art

    just because person X doesnt think its art, or person Y thinks it IS art, doesnt make it any less art.

    its up to the viewer to decide if its art to her, but in the end, its still art to someone.

    as much as i don't really thing global warming is anything than just one of earths regular changes in temperature (people.. X years from now will be reasearching 'global cooling' aka. the 'igloo effect')

    what if (IF its real) the problem is like somthing that no one would even think of.. for instance, all these tree's that are cut down.

    (this is a theory just like anything else)

    me and my brother walk to the store quite often
    and those tree's that are so perfect and provide 100% shade are always cool underneath.

    now.. where we previously lived was one of those stupid lego housing areas... there was not a single tree in sight. if i wanted to be cool i had to go inside.

    now think how the earth feels in both instances.... she just wants some shady lovin from her tree hair :)

    I would say its more or less designed to 'kill' in general (of course there is a recreation side, just like everything [targets/whatnot]). But its also basicly a compact cannon, and dont tell me they hunted cows with those things ;P i dont think you would end up with much meat left over, and what was left would taste awful.

    yeh when it comes time for me to play quake

    i usualy roll a die to decide my eye candy.

    odds: TTYquake (the best imho)

    even: Xquake

    and in the chance it lands on 1, i play the origional linux quake.

    oh and a 6 is GLquake.

    i actualy used to sit down with my little sister (she was like... 4-5 at the time) and we would play that game together. plus it got her aquainted with alot of good fairy tails.

    which imho, is a hell of alot better than those stupid interactive arthur ones, which are basicly 'click and stare' at a bunch of easter eggs on the screen.

    off topic to subject, but not to parents:

    I thing one thing alot of people over look on the whole "they choose to do it" thing, is Second Hand Smoke. I dont choose to breath it, but it sure as hell is there ever time i walk into my local Publix food store and the workers are sitting on the benches i walk past with their hairnets on, smoking and exhaling before i pass.

    i swear to god i cough (atleast once) every time i get that nasty smell under my nose.

    i understand how running the same code on all machines seems nice and all.

    but i have always invisioned a single media
    with a native binary for each system(or systems, OS - in the case of a PC).

    now why not just have the compiler be super smart and knows howto compile for each system that you want it on (since your going to have a JIT for somthing like java anyways)

    and you would program in a generic sound/graphic API that calls the correct libraries for each system.(since thats what a JIT would do anyways)

    it would also deal with each systems hardware
    (lack of/bonus of)

    that way you retain the speed of each system
    and your not programming for set of hardware.

    does not help make that line any clearer.

    and in my opinion. anything i did not check my-self, or ask for would be spam. even if it is useful, i did not ask for it.
