yea, I dumped time warner because of this. Speed was great, except when I and everyone else was home. In the evening, there was all kinds of random drops and slow downs that I can only attribute to the shared line. I got DSL where you have your own dedicated line and it has been fairly solid.

GOG.com sold the Witcher 2 completely drm free on their site when it was released, but the version posted by pirates hours after its release was a cracked drm version bought in a store. brick and mortar companies are trying to force online companies to pay sales tax in the believe people will return to their stores. Well, that is not going to happen and if there is an alternative online that does not charge sales tax that is something I consider as well when making a purchase.
why would I continue to buy from amazon and pay sales tax and some times shipping when I can buy else where and pay no sales tax? They should have fought harder to stop that.
for the positions I have filled the candidate needed to be able to collect requirements, manage projects, and interact with people to manage schedules, set expectations, etc. People that only want to code have a niche, but honestly, your job prospects are very slim. You are not going to learn any other skills sitting in a basement doing online tutorials.
the republicans believe that the US needs an enemy so they invented terrorism as a huge problem. Their policy is failure and has done more harm than good.

I don't think microsoft really understands how captive and unhappy their audience is or how fast they will abandon them if gaming comes to Linux.
