    kurt sutter is lying. Money does not get back to the content creators, it goes to middle men and movie studio CEOs. When you start looking into the details you see hollywood accounting is letting these leeches steal legally from those that create content. It is well understood that music bands don't make their money from the sell of their music, but mostly from their live shows. So where does all that money go? Not to the content creators. This is an old dying business model that kurt sutter is clinging to and I am glad is changing.

    that won't stop it either. music and movie companies changing their business model to acknowledge current technology would. People will pay a reasonable price for content make it more easy than pirating. The mpaa and riaa would rather have perceived control instead of make money like moving to a Valve Steam model.

    Magically, all the ISPs in Austin started rolling out high speed internet when Google Fiber came to Austin, TX. I expect the only reason that Google is able to do this is they have enough weight to work the political process. I do not trust ISPs to server their Customers any more than the minimum based on this evidence alone.

    There is almost no barrier for entry into the music business and no one knows this better than the music companies. They care more about control than profitability, but their grasp of music has slipped. They don't even realize the internet has given them the mortal blow yet.

    That is another way of saying no one cares about your data as much as you do. And I believe after the money has been made off "the cloud" that a new push for building your own safe servers will come. I see it as a cycle from mainframes to PC and cloud back to private servers, etc.

    If people want to get the NSA reigned in they they should start now making this a big deal for the next election. It does two things. It will make sure the issue does not go away and force it to be an issue for Senate and House elections as well.
