Every review I've read recently seems to follow this unoriginal pattern. Big cheers about a nice easy graphical install followed by one or two driver problems blamed on hardware manufacturers. Then the rest of the review seems to be everything worked out of the box.
i guess the real answer is that distros are actually the same. we all knew it. besides a few changed directories here and there, and things put in place to inconvinence you, its all the same.
despite what most of you readers are saying, its NOT illegal to develop this. and for the same reasons i can post bomb making instructions on line, or print them in books. as long as you aren't actually implementing it, or selling it to some terrorists, its legal.

13 pills? thats all? that only comes to like 2.6 grams. Back in my experimentalist phase like, 2 years ago, i took around 50 200mg. when your arm is shaking within a 1.5 foot radius, then you know you're overdosing.
another build it your self ecu would be Megasquirt [http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html].
Otherwise, i'd suggest just reading the input from all the sensors, they're pretty easy to interface, just make sure all your circuits are designed properly so you don't burn anything out.
+Temperature sensor: resistance changes with temp, higher the resistance, the colder it is (not all are like this). Example, on my Saab, 1000 ohms is about 8 degrees F.
+O2 sensor: if you want to know the fuel/air mixture, the output from the O2 sensor normally ranges from 0-4 volts.
Figuring out timing and dwell is a bit harder, requiring crankshaft position sensor, and knowing the current rpms of the shaft.
Most automotive books for your car will describe the various sensors, and their outputs.
i think the z80 still can be used. modern doesn't mean too much on that scale. for more complex things Zilog makes a pretty big line of various processors for different uses.
i can't find the link right now, but there was a related handheld device like this, that you could scan barcodes, and it would list political things related...it was a simple design, would do something like a google search for the product and company name, plus other words like child labor, etc
either this will deter conspiracists, or just give them a new argument that the government removed the unusual entries before declassifying them. There really will never be a way to prove that declassified documents aren't modified
i think the writer of this confused the order of links...the part that says linux was the quickest on intels test, should point to the test, not intels main page...and why is that link (for the test announcement) put where it says unix used to be better.......someone should write an article on how to properly link articles. in short, don't make it confusing.
[end rant]
because they're lazy...i find my only use for wysiwyg's are to arrange complex table layouts that are just too mindboggling for me to sit working on for a while.
i think thats a google question. linux isn't exactly known for its security. And being the product is a firewall, it makes sense to put it on a platform that was, not nessesarly designed for the job, but its the best selection of all the other os's. freebsd is good for general use, but its a bit bloated compared to the other 2 bsds. netbsd seems to be more about ports and embedded than security. linux is pretty much out of the question when compared to bsds. and windows....well, i dont think i'm going to get started about that
my favorite part i think of the entire thing is the statement, "The above rights you grant to us includes the right to exploit all proprietary rights in any of the Materials"
Don't you just love the fact that they openly used "exploit"?
and all your belongings are suddenly his to do as he sees fit, and thus proceeds to rob you blind. Why should this be any more legal than what these people are claiming?
That example doesn't work because you don't have to use the ISP. Its not a requirement that you use them, you can just stay off line, or find another ISP. Nothing is forcing you to use them, and it would hold up in court, they can put most anything in their agreements (as long as it doesn't break certain laws), but all you have to do is just not agree to it. thats all
Brother is a mafia-type movie about a ex-Yakuza gang member who came to america and started a new gang. Its a great movie, and my friends and I all place it up there with other gang classics like godfather (1) and goodfellas
i still don't understand why people buy into this type of (dont want to say crap, but kinda silly products), immersion cooling is more efficient, and even, as not only do you cool your cpu (on the top specfically), you cool all sides of it, and the rest of the motherboard. You can use something expensive like pure h2o, or that plasma type liquid they used in one of the Crays. Or something as cheep as oil. They use oil to cool power transformers on telephone poles.
You can't forget either tho, how cool a case with a window and immersion system would look, as evertying would really glow, and you might even be able to put fish in it (depending on the type of liquid used, and if the cpu fans are in use too...sushi anyone?)

this isn't news, its a 'ask slashdot' question. reread the guys question, 'WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HIDDEN GOOGLE FEATURE".
maybe they should be launching the shuttle from the desert

Its enforcable because nothing is making you agree to their clauses. You can just find a different ISP if you don't agree to what they are requiring.

My bad then, i had noticed people saying about dupe on the front page, so i guess i assumed
Don't the so-called 'editors' read the site???
& cid=5623172
Do you read the site?
http://science.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=58887
The First article everyone thinks is the original (http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/03/ 28/230236&mode=thread&tid=134), is about a very large fungus that grows in the woods./ 29/1647251&mode=thread&tid=134), is about a virus that grows in a water tower.
The second article that everyone thinks is the dupe (http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/03
They might be related items as they are talking about the largest of each species, they are NOT the same article.
rtfa ('manual' replaced for 'article')
